Superior Filtration
With a microparticle performance rating (MPR) of 1550, this filter is comparable to a MERV 12 rating. This is one of the highest residential MERV ratings, which were created by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). It captures particles as small as 0.3 microns, so dust, pet dander, and nearly all other residential allergens are caught and removed from your air.

I have always had allergies. My husband developed them when we moved into our house five years ago. We had the ductwork cleaned but that didn't solve everything. It was suggested that we remove the air cleaner but going forward we would need to use a 5"" thick filter. We found Sylvane when our only store that carried them ran out during the pandemic. We are glad they ran out! The filter from Sylvane has a snug fit. We didn't realize the previous filter could fit better - we thought it was as good as it could be. This one is perfect! The air is now being filtered properly, allergies are better for both of us, and we have had less asthma issues as well.
