Info & Guides

Description

A ceiling fan that adjusts itself means you stop reaching for the remote every time the room warms up or empties out. The Big Ass Fans 60-In. Haiku Caramel Bamboo Smart Ceiling Fan uses built-in SenseME technology to read occupancy and room conditions, then sets its own speed in homes and businesses alike. You can order it with a Low Profile Mount or with 1 of 3 Universal Mount downrod lengths.

Hand-balanced Moso bamboo airfoils and a permanent-magnet motor keep the Haiku moving air without wobble or added vibration. The caramel bamboo finish brings a warm wood tone overhead, so the fan looks like part of the room instead of a machine bolted to the ceiling.

Key Features and Benefits of the Big Ass Fans 60-In. Haiku Caramel Bamboo Smart Ceiling Fan

  • SenseME Automation: Built-in sensors track motion, temperature, and humidity, so the fan adjusts its speed without you touching a control.
  • Smart Control Options: Control the fan with the included Bluetooth remote or Haiku app, by voice through Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, or through Apple Home via Matter.
  • Quiet Motor: A permanent-magnet motor runs below 35 decibels at max speed, so it stays quiet enough for bedrooms and offices.
  • Strong Airflow: Airflow ratings of 6,256 CFM and 7,572 CFM, depending on configuration, give you a steady breeze across the full 60-inch blade sweep.
  • Low Energy Draw: A maximum draw of 15.6 to 21.4 watts and 0.1 amps on 110-120 volts keeps the cost of all-day running low.
  • 7 Speed Settings: You get 7 speeds plus Whoosh Mode, which varies the speed to feel like a natural breeze.
  • Thermostat Pairing: Connected to a compatible smart thermostat, the Smarter Heating and Smarter Cooling modes switch automatically to help cut your heating and cooling costs year-round.
  • Remote Wall Mounts: The Bluetooth remote ships with a fixed wall mount and a magnetic wall holder, so you can keep it on the wall or carry it around.
  • Color Options: Choose a Black, Bronze, Nickel, or White housing, each paired with caramel bamboo airfoils, to match your décor.
  • Fan Weight: The Haiku weighs 15 to 16 pounds depending on mount configuration, which keeps lifting and positioning it during installation manageable.
  • Certified Safety: CE and cETLus listings confirm the fan meets recognized safety standards for your home or business.
  • Warranty Coverage: Big Ass Fans backs every Haiku ceiling fan with a 5-year warranty, protecting your investment well beyond installation day.

Choose Your Mount and Downrod Length

The mount and downrod length decide how far the blades hang below your ceiling: you can pick the Low Profile Mount or the 12-inch, 20-inch, or 32-inch Universal Mount downrod.

  • Low Profile Mount: This version sits close to the ceiling and measures 60 x 60 x 12.3-Inches (L x W x H), which makes it ideal for homes with 8- to 9-foot ceilings.
  • 12-In. Downrod Universal Mount: The 12-inch downrod brings the overall size to 60 x 60 x 21-Inches (L x W x H), dropping the blades a short distance for ceilings a little above standard height.
  • 20-In. Downrod Universal Mount: The 20-inch downrod sets the fan at 60 x 60 x 29-Inches (L x W x H), bringing the airflow closer to you in rooms with higher ceilings.
  • 32-In. Downrod Universal Mount: The 32-inch downrod gives the longest drop at 60 x 60 x 41-Inches (L x W x H), suited to your tallest ceilings and open commercial spaces.

Sylvane's Expert Take

If you want a ceiling fan that runs itself in a bedroom or home office, the Haiku deserves a close look. The 2 features that matter most are the SenseME sensors and the motor that stays under 35 decibels, because together they adjust comfort without noise you notice. Measure from floor to ceiling before you pick a mount: the Low Profile Mount fits 8- to 9-foot rooms, and each longer downrod adds drop as your ceilings rise. Pick the right drop and the Haiku takes care of the rest.
