Info & Guides

Description

A hot bedroom or stuffy great room usually doesn't need a faster fan. It needs a fan that responds to the room. The Big Ass Fans Haiku Caramel Bamboo Smart Ceiling Fan with LED Light uses built-in SenseME technology to read the room's conditions, then adjusts itself so you stay comfortable without picking up the remote. Its 3 hand-balanced Moso Bamboo airfoils in a caramel finish bring a warm wood look to the space.

Connect the Haiku to your smart thermostat and it switches between Smarter Heating and Smarter Cooling on its own as the seasons change. You can also group several Haiku products into Rooms so they run in sync. Sleep Mode keeps you comfortable all night, and Whoosh Mode varies the speed to feel like a natural breeze.

Key Features and Benefits of the Big Ass Fans 60-Inch Haiku Caramel Bamboo Smart Ceiling Fan with LED Light

  • SenseME Technology: Built-in sensors detect motion and track temperature and humidity, so the fan sets its own speed and you don't have to adjust it by hand.
  • Strong Airflow: The fan moves 6,256 to 7,572 CFM depending on configuration, so air keeps circulating across its full 60-inch span.
  • Permanent-Magnet Motor: It runs below 35 dB even at maximum speed, which keeps it quiet enough for a bedroom while you sleep.
  • Low Power Draw: It uses just 15.6 to 21.4 watts and 0.1 amps on a 110-120 volt circuit, which keeps your running costs low.
  • Integrated LED Light: The downlight puts out more than 2,000 lumens with 16 brightness settings, so the same fixture gives you bright task light or a soft glow.
  • Smart Controls: Use the included Bluetooth remote or the Haiku app, with voice control through Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, and Apple Home via Matter.
  • Speed Settings: Pick from 7 fan speeds to match airflow to the weather or to how many people are in the room.
  • Remote Placement: Use the Bluetooth remote handheld, or set it on the included fixed wall mount or magnetic wall holder.
  • Color Options: Finishes run from white and black to nickel and bronze. The LED downlight matches the finish you pick, so it fits your décor.
  • Safety Certified: The fan meets CE and cETLus standards and carries ETL and cETL safety listings for use in homes and businesses.
  • Manageable Weight: It weighs 15 to 16 pounds depending on configuration, so it's easy to lift into place during installation.
  • Warranty Coverage: Big Ass Fans covers the Haiku with a 5-year warranty, so you're protected long after installation.

Choose Your Mount and Downrod Length

Each color comes with 4 mounting choices, and your choice sets how far the blades hang below the ceiling.

  • Low Profile Mount: The Low Profile Mount sits close to the ceiling and measures 60 x 60 x 12.3-Inches (L x W x H), which makes it the right fit for rooms with 8- to 9-foot ceilings.
  • 12-Inch Downrod Universal Mount: This Universal mount measures 60 x 60 x 21-Inches (L x W x H) and gives you the shortest drop for rooms with ceilings above 9 feet.
  • 20-Inch Downrod Universal Mount: This middle option measures 60 x 60 x 29-Inches (L x W x H) and brings the airflow lower in rooms with higher ceilings.
  • 32-Inch Downrod Universal Mount: The longest downrod measures 60 x 60 x 41-Inches (L x W x H), so the blades sit close to you in rooms with tall or vaulted ceilings.

Sylvane's Expert Take

If you want a ceiling fan for a bedroom or living space and you're tired of adjusting fans all day, the Haiku is a strong fit. SenseME auto-adjustment and the motor's sub-35 dB sound level are the 2 features you'll notice most. Set up your Haiku account before you install the fan so you can link your thermostat and voice assistant on day one. After that, the Haiku works on cutting your heating and cooling costs all year.
