Big Ass Fans Haiku Black Smart Ceiling Fan - 52 / Low Profile Mount is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Description
Description
A ceiling fan you have to keep adjusting is a fan you eventually stop using. The Big Ass Fans Haiku line solves that with built-in sensors that read the room and set the airflow for you, finished in a clean black look that suits homes and public spaces alike. The Haiku is offered in a choice of diameters, with either low-profile or downrod mounting.
You can run the fan from the included Bluetooth remote or the Haiku app. Voice control works with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, and Apple Home works through Matter. The remote ships with both a fixed wall mount and a magnetic wall holder, so it can live on the wall like a switch or travel with you.
Key Features and Benefits of the Big Ass Fans Haiku Black Smart Ceiling Fan
- SenseME Technology: Built-in sensors track temperature and humidity, and detect motion, adjusting fan speed automatically so you stay comfortable without reaching for the remote.
- Whisper-Quiet Operation: Runs at less than 35 dB even at max speed, quiet enough for bedrooms and offices where you need to rest or concentrate.
- Permanent-Magnet Motor: This motor runs on 110-120 volt power while keeping your energy costs low.
- Aircraft-Grade Airfoils: Its 3 hand-balanced aluminum airfoils move more air without vibration, so the fan stays steady and adds no extra noise.
- Speed Settings: Choose from 7 speeds, or switch on Whoosh Mode to vary speed like a natural breeze and Sleep Mode for all-night comfort.
- Thermostat Pairing: Connect a compatible smart thermostat and the Haiku alternates between Smarter Heating and Smarter Cooling automatically, helping you trim heating and cooling costs year-round.
- Scheduling and Rooms: The Haiku app sets precise schedules and groups multiple Haiku fans into Rooms, so fans sharing a space run in sync.
- Safety Certifications: Every model carries cETLus and CE certifications, confirming it meets North American and European electrical safety standards.
- App Compatibility: The Haiku app runs on iOS 9.0 or later and Android 5.0 or later, so your current phone or tablet can control the fan.
- Warranty Coverage: Big Ass Fans backs every Haiku ceiling fan with a 5-year warranty, giving you long-term peace of mind.
Choose Your Diameter and Mount Length
You pick the Haiku by diameter (52-inch, 60-inch, or 84-inch) and then by mount, either the Low Profile Mount or a 12-inch, 20-inch, or 32-inch downrod on the Universal Mount.
- 52-Inch Diameter: This size moves 5,084 to 6,207 CFM on just 14.6 to 19.4 watts and weighs 15.5 to 16.5 pounds, giving you strong airflow for bedrooms and mid-size living spaces.
- 60-Inch Diameter: This size pushes 5,971 to 7,366 CFM on 15.8 to 21.3 watts and weighs 17.5 to 18.5 pounds, a good match when you need to cool larger open rooms.
- 84-Inch Diameter: This size moves up to 17,747 CFM on 46.6 watts and weighs 26 pounds, so you can cover great rooms and commercial spaces with a single fan.
- Low Profile Mount: This mount holds the fan close to the ceiling for an overall height of 12.3 inches, the right fit if your ceilings are 8 to 9 feet high.
- 12-Inch Downrod: This downrod brings the overall height to 21 inches on the Universal Mount, lowering the airfoils slightly for ceilings just above standard height.
- 20-Inch Downrod: This downrod sets the overall height at 29 inches on the Universal Mount, putting airflow closer to you in rooms with moderately high ceilings.
- 32-Inch Downrod: This downrod extends the overall height to 41 inches on the Universal Mount, dropping the fan into range under tall or vaulted ceilings.
Sylvane's Expert Take
If you're tired of adjusting a fan every time a room warms up or empties out, the SenseME sensors are the reason to choose the Haiku. Size the diameter to your room first, then pick the mount by ceiling height: Low Profile for 8 to 9 feet, a downrod for anything taller. Because it stays under 35 dB at max speed, you can leave it on high in a bedroom without hearing it. Pair it with a smart thermostat and it starts paying you back on your energy bill.
