Description
Description
Ceiling height and room size decide whether a ceiling fan feels like a steady breeze or barely registers. This fan handles both, so you can match blade span to the room and drop height to the ceiling. You choose from 3 diameters and either a close-to-ceiling Low Profile Mount or a Universal Mount with a downrod.
Once it's installed, the Haiku app takes care of most of the routine adjustments. Paired with a smart thermostat, Smart Mode switches between Smarter Heating and Smarter Cooling on its own, and Smarter Lighting changes brightness as daylight shifts. Sleep Mode saves your overnight settings, while Scheduling and Rooms let you time or sync multiple Haiku products in a shared space.
Key Features and Benefits of the Big Ass Fans Haiku Black Smart Ceiling Fan with LED Light
- Whisper-Quiet Motor: A permanent-magnet motor runs at less than 35 dB at max speed, so you can sleep, work, or talk underneath it.
- SenseME Technology: Built-in sensors read motion, temperature, and humidity, then adjust the fan automatically so you get efficient comfort without constant tweaking.
- Smart Control: Run the fan from the included Bluetooth remote, the Haiku app, Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, or Apple Home through Matter.
- Dimmable LED Downlight: Over 2,000 lumens at full output and 16 brightness settings let you shift from bright task lighting to a soft evening glow.
- Aluminum Airfoils: You get 3 hand-balanced airfoils in aircraft-grade aluminum that move more air without vibration or added noise.
- Speed Range: You can pick from 7 speed settings, and Whoosh Mode quietly varies speed to mimic a natural, cooling breeze.
- Fan ECO: This Haiku app mode puts energy savings first, so your ceiling fan does more of the cooling work at lower running cost.
- Remote Mounting: The Bluetooth remote works handheld, on the included fixed wall mount, or in the included magnetic wall holder, so it stays where you expect.
- App Compatibility: The Haiku app runs on iOS 9.0 or later and Android 5.0 or later, so your phone or tablet can control the fan.
- Household Power: The fan operates on 110 to 120 volts, so you can wire it into a typical residential circuit.
- Size and Weight: Plan clearance for 52 x 52 x 12.3-Inches to 84 x 84 x 41-Inches (L x W x H), weighing 15.5, 16.5, 17.5, 18.5, or 26 pounds.
- Certified and Warrantied: CE and cETLus certifications confirm electrical safety, and a 5-year Big Ass Fans warranty protects your investment.
Choose Your Diameter and Mount
You can configure the Haiku by fan diameter (52-inch, 60-inch, or 84-inch) and by mount, either the Low Profile Mount or a Universal Mount with a 12-inch, 20-inch, or 32-inch downrod.
- 84-Inch Diameter: The largest Haiku moves up to 17,747 CFM while drawing no more than 46.6 watts, giving you enough airflow for great rooms and open commercial spaces.
- 60-Inch Diameter: This mid-size fan moves 6,207 to 7,366 CFM at 19.4 to 21.3 watts depending on mount, a strong match for larger bedrooms and living rooms.
- 52-Inch Diameter: The most compact Haiku moves 5,084 to 5,971 CFM at 14.6 to 15.8 watts, so you get efficient cooling in smaller bedrooms and offices.
- Low Profile Mount: This mount keeps the fan tight to the ceiling at an overall height of 12.3 inches, which suits homes with 8- to 9-foot ceilings.
- 12-Inch Downrod Universal Mount: The shortest downrod brings overall height to 21 inches, dropping the blades slightly for rooms with modestly raised ceilings.
- 20-Inch Downrod Universal Mount: This downrod sets overall height at 29 inches, bringing airflow closer to you in rooms with taller ceilings.
- 32-Inch Downrod Universal Mount: The longest downrod gives an overall height of 41 inches, so you can lower airflow from high or vaulted ceilings to where you sit.
Sylvane's Expert Take
If you want a ceiling fan you never hear and rarely touch, the Haiku line fits bedrooms and home offices best, where operation under 35 dB and SenseME automation matter most. Size the diameter to the room first, then pick the mount by ceiling height. The 84-inch model moves more than twice the air of the 60-inch, so save it for large, open spaces. Every size comes with the same quiet motor, dimmable light, and smart controls, so the only real decision is fit.
