Description

Most ceiling fans keep running at whatever speed you left them on. The Big Ass Fans Haiku White Smart Ceiling Fan works differently: its sensors notice when you walk in or leave and adjust the blades for you. That keeps cooling costs low without you reaching for a remote. You set up the Haiku line by choosing a blade diameter and a mount style.

Inside each fan, a permanent-magnet motor drives 3 hand-balanced airfoils made of aircraft-grade aluminum. Because the blades are precision-balanced, you get strong airflow without the wobble that makes some fans distracting over a bed or desk.

Key Features and Benefits of the Big Ass Fans Haiku White Smart Ceiling Fan

  • Whisper-Quiet Operation: Runs at less than 35 dB even at maximum speed, so you can leave it on high in a bedroom without hearing it.
  • SenseME Auto Comfort: SenseME's Smarter Cooling and Smarter Heating settings adjust the fan through every season, keeping you comfortable while using less energy.
  • Multiple Control Options: Run the fan from the included Bluetooth remote, the Haiku app, Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, or Apple Home through Matter.
  • Speed Settings: Choose from 7 fan speeds to go from a gentle drift of air to a strong cooling breeze.
  • Whoosh and Sleep: Whoosh Mode in the Haiku app varies speed to mimic a natural breeze, and Sleep Mode keeps your custom overnight settings one tap away.
  • Schedules and Rooms: Set exact schedules in the Haiku app and group several Haiku fans into Rooms so they run in sync across one space.
  • Remote Mounting: The Bluetooth remote works handheld or on the wall, and it ships with both a fixed wall mount and a magnetic wall holder.
  • Mounting Choices: The Low Profile mount sits close to 8- to 9-foot ceilings, while Universal mounts with 12-inch, 20-inch, or 32-inch downrods suit taller rooms.
  • cETLus and CE: Runs on standard 110-120-volt power and carries cETLus and CE certifications, so you can install it in homes and businesses with confidence.
  • 5-Year Warranty: Big Ass Fans backs each Haiku ceiling fan with long-term coverage after installation.

Choose Your Diameter and Mount

The Haiku comes in 3 diameters, and you choose the mount to match your ceiling height.

  • 52-Inch Diameter: The smallest Haiku, measuring 52 inches across, suits smaller rooms.
  • 60-Inch Diameter: At 60 inches across, this mid-size fan suits mid-sized rooms and open kitchens.
  • 84-Inch Diameter: The largest Haiku, at 84 inches across, suits great rooms and business or public spaces.

Note: Overall size runs from 52 x 52 x 12.3-Inches (L x W x H) to 84 x 84 x 41-Inches (L x W x H), depending on diameter and mount. Height rises from 12.3 inches on the Low Profile mount to 21, 29, or 41 inches with the 12-inch, 20-inch, or 32-inch downrod, so taller ceilings call for a downrod. Across the line, airflow runs from 5,084 to 17,747 CFM on 14.6 to 46.6 watts, so you can match the fan to the room's size. Weight ranges from 15.5 to 26 pounds, so check that your mount and ceiling can handle the heaviest model.

Sylvane's Expert Take

If you want a ceiling fan that adjusts itself, the Haiku suits rooms you use on and off, where motion sensing can cut wasted run time. Diameter is the choice that matters most, so match it to your room's size. The 84-inch model suits larger open spaces than the 52-inch and 60-inch models do. Measure your ceiling height before you choose a mount, and the Haiku will look after your comfort from the first day.
