Info & Guides

Description

Recommended by a leading consumer reporting magazine as the #1 console style humidifier, the AIRCARE MA1201 Evaporative Console Humidifier adds soothing cool mist moisture to your entire home. The MA1201 combats dry air indoors by releasing 11.44 gallons of cool mist humidification per day to cover an area as large as 3,600 square feet. Electronic controls, a built-in humidistat, and numerous automated features make it easy to monitor and control the humidity level in your home.

Convenient Humidistat Control

The AIRCARE MA1201 eliminates guesswork when it comes to maintaining your ideal indoor humidity levels. Simply set your desired humidity between 25% and 65% and let the onboard humidistat do the work for you. If your home's humidity falls below your setting, the humidifier automatically adjusts to the most efficient fan speed to increase moisture output. It features 4 fan speeds: ultra-quiet, medium, high, and auto. When running on high, water is dispersed in a fine mist that quickly humidifies a large area. The ultra-quiet setting is ideal for humidifying a single room with minimal sound while you sleep.

Simple Operation and Maintenance

Simple push buttons and a digital control panel make it easy to operate and maintain. In addition to power and fan speed buttons, the digital control panel features up and down arrows for adjusting the room humidity. The display panel shows the actual room humidity, your desired humidity, and the current fan speed setting. When the wick filter needs to be replaced, a check filter message displays giving you an easy reminder. A refill indicator located on the control panel illuminates when the water bottle and humidifier base are empty.

Additional Features

  • Mineral-Absorbing Filter - The evaporative filter "wicks" up water to humidify your home while absorbing mineral content that may lead to pesky white dust.
  • Highly Portable: Four rolling casters help you move your humidifier from room to room effortlessly.
  • Refillable Bottle: A refillable water bottle connects to base and is detachable for easy refills.
  • Dry Out Mode - Dry Out mode runs on the ultra-quiet setting once the reservoir is empty to dry out the filter and other internal components to avoid harmful mold and mildew growth.
  • Automatic Shutoff - Once Dry Out mode has completed its cycle, the humidifier automatically powers off to save energy and electricity costs.

Summary

The AIRCARE MA1201 Evaporative Console Humidifier is a top consumer-rated console humidifier.

What Customers Love

  • Set It and Forget It - Set your desired humidity level, select the Auto mode, and let the humidifier go to work. An onboard humidistat adjusts the fan speed automatically to maintain your desired humidity level.
  • Large Coverage - Adds 11.44 gallons of cool mist moisture to the air per day and covers areas up to 3,600 square feet.

Reviews Summary
Customers say this humidifier effectively maintains desired humidity levels in their homes. Many reviews mention its easy-to-fill design and digital controls. The unit operates quietly on low settings, though some note increased noise at higher speeds. Frequent comments address its performance in large spaces, with users reporting coverage from single rooms to multi-story homes. The water tank requires regular refilling, with frequency depending on settings and climate. While most find it durable and reliable, some mention concerns about build quality and fan noise at higher speeds.

Suits the bill in a hard water house.

So far I've been pleased with the humidifier and it seems to be doing the job. I have it in a living room with a natural gas stove that heats the room and it seems to work quite well keeping the air humidified.

    Pumps out the moisture...

We use it in the living room to keep the humidity constant for our grand piano and other musical instruments. It's nice to set the humidity level and let it do its thing... Even on the low setting, it is not very quiet, and the periodic ""glugging"" of water as it leaves the tank is loud and a little startling. The tank is easy to fill in the kitchen sink, but could be a little larger. It requires filling two or three times a day when the air is dry. The fan/unit vibrates a little -- it would be better if it were manufactured more precisely and the fan balanced before shipment.

    Dependable quiet humidifier

This is my second unit. I have had one for three years now and have been very pleased. I got the second one for our bedroom. I don't have it on high and the noise is not bad. While it does a good job for raising the humidity in the area, don't expect it to raise the level in the whole house. It is good for a large area or room. The large capacity water tank is a nice feature. It is a very good value.
