This 2nd-generation design handles both heating and cooling with one inverter-driven system, and you control it from a wired smart thermostat that you schedule around your routine. You can configure it with or without a supplemental heat kit and with or without a pre-charged line set.

Plan your installation around 2 large components. The air handler measures 24.5 x 21.0 x 53.0-Inches (L x W x H) and weighs 162.92 pounds, so it needs a dedicated mechanical space. The outdoor condenser measures 16.34 x 38.58 x 38.39-Inches (L x W x H) and weighs 192.9 pounds. Both require professional installation, so your contractor can confirm clearances and handle the 208-230-volt electrical hookup.

Choose Your Auxiliary Heat Kit and Line Set Length

You can configure the VersaPro with 5 auxiliary heat options (None, 8 kW, 10 kW, 15 kW, or 20 kW) and choose a line set length (No Line Set, 15 feet, 25 feet, 35 feet, or 50 feet).

  • No Auxiliary Heat: Runs as a pure heat pump, which suits milder climates where the compressor covers your heating load on its own.
  • 8 kW Heat Kit: Adds backup heat for occasional deep cold.
  • 10 kW Heat Kit: Adds more reserve heat than the 8 kW kit for colder spells.
  • 15 kW Heat Kit: Adds more reserve heat than the 10 kW kit for long winters or larger heating loads.
  • 20 kW Heat Kit: Provides the most reserve heat of the 5 options for the longest winters or the largest heating loads.

Every heat kit pairs with the same heat pump, so cooling performance stays the same across configurations. Line set length is a separate choice.

Each included line set arrives pre-charged with R-454B and uses Quick Connect fittings, which makes installation simpler for your contractor. Choose 15 or 25 feet when the condenser sits close to the air handler, and 35 or 50 feet for longer runs. The No Line Set option lets your installer run custom refrigerant lines sized to your home.
