Description
Immediately cool hot, dry rooms and outdoor spaces with the reliable Hessaire MC18M Evaporative Swamp Cooler. Ideal for areas up to 500 square feet, this evaporative cooler is compact, simple to install, and offers continuous use with a hose hook up.
Other features include casters, a carrying handle, two cooling speeds, a fan-only option, and more.
Note: Evaporative Swamp Coolers are most effective in dry climates with an average relative humidity of 40% or less.
Compact Cooler for Versatility
The Hessaire MC18M evaporative cooler is a versatile solution.
- Casters: The casters allow for easy maneuvering and positioning around the home, in gardens, garages, and more.
- Standard 115-Volt Plug: Plug into any standard 115-volt power supply outlet.
- Lightweight Design: Pick up the 16-pound cooler and go with the top-located carrying handle.
- Compact Size: Because of its compact size, this cooler is also popular for camping, grilling areas, and sunrooms.
Simple Controls
A quick turn of the knob, and this Hessaire operates without any hassle.
- Power Off: Powers down the swamp cooler with a turn of the knob.
- Fan Only: Choose low or high fan speeds to operate this model as a heavy-duty fan without water.
- Pump On: Turn the pump on for evaporative cooling at low or high speed.
Two Operating Options
Manual Fill
Manually fill the swamp cooler for indoor use by accessing the water reservoir through the front spring-loaded water fill door. Fill until you reach your desired level or until full using the water level display. Get refreshing air for up to 3–4 hours.
Automatic Fill with Hose
Automatically pump water through a standard hose (not included) by attaching the hose to the back of the unit. Secure the included hose adaptor to any standard household hose and fasten it to the protruding float valve on the back of the cooler, and you’re ready for hours of continuous use.
Additional Features
- Adjustable Louvers: The front-style grill features manually adjustable louvers that can be moved individually to push air up and down at the same time. This feature is great for drying floors while providing personal cooling.
- Rugged Exterior: The rotomolded polypropylene exterior is durable and UV-resistant.
- Lightweight: At just 16 pounds assembled, it is easier to move around the home.
- Water Level Indicator: Know how much water to put in and where the water level is with the water level indicator.

We use this in our backyard in the Las Vegas heat. 117% right now. This cooler cools the air down making it comfortable to sit on our porch. We have very hard water so the water pump goes out every couple of years. Easy fix. Just to keep it cool outside i have a spare cooler if the water pump goes out so i can replace the pump at my convenience.

I use it inside my home. I have a window air conditioner. And when I turn both on. It makes the air cooler much faster than just running the air conditioner alone. I then turn off the air and let the evaporator run by itself. It keeps the room cool for a long period of time.
