Frequently Asked Questions

What size room is the Midea 8,000 BTU U-Shaped AC designed for?
It's built to cool rooms up to 350 square feet.

How is the U-shaped design different from a standard window AC?

How do I know what BTU rating I need?
It generally depends on room size: small rooms (100-300 sq. ft.) need 5,000-8,000 BTUs, medium rooms (300-500 sq. ft.) need 8,000-12,000 BTUs, and large rooms (500+ sq. ft.) need 12,000+ BTUs.

Nice, quiet and very efficient window Air Conditioner.

At first, I was a bit skeptical about this air conditioner because of its unique design. I wondered whether the shape would affect its cooling performance or make it more prone to condensation leaks and excessive noise.

My son and I had it installed in less than 30 minutes, and I was pleasantly surprised by how well it worked right away. It cools the room efficiently, runs much quieter than I expected, and the wireless controls, along with Alexa and Google Assistant compatibility, are excellent features that make it incredibly convenient to use.

So far, this is my favorite window air conditioner I've owned. I'm already planning to purchase two more to replace my older units. The only thing left to evaluate is its long-term durability and reliability, but based on my experience so far, I'm very satisfied with this purchase and would definitely recommend it.

    #sweepstakes Great Product/Quick Delivery

#sweepstakes So happy we upgraded to these Midea U-Shaped air conditioners. They are so much quieter than our old air conditioners and I feel safer having the windows mostly closed. They are so much more efficient and keep our house very cool at lower settings, so looking forward to see how much lower my electric bill is this month compared to last month and last year. Deliver from Sylvane was very quick and ordering was easy.

    Excellent machine; tricky install

One month in, the unit is powerful, quiet and reliable. The install was tricky because our Pella windows didn't conform well to the instructions leaving me to experiment with the insulation blocks. Which was just unsuccessful enough to cause me to purchase more foam insulation (black) leaving an unattractive install.
