Breathe clean allergen-free air in every room of your home using one easy solution, an Aprilaire 2000 Series MERV 13 Whole House Air Cleaner. These ducted air purifiers work in conjunction with your home's heating, ventilating, and cooling system (HVAC) to filter allergens out of the air and improve your home's indoor air quality overall. MERV-13-level filtration means that at least 90% of all microscopic impurities lingering in your space are locked away. Remarkably clean and allergy-friendly air is then distributed throughout all the rooms of your home.
Aprilaire 2000 Air Cleaners are available in 3 duct sizes, use 10 times more filtration media than standard 1-inch furnace filters, and require only minimal upkeep.

Choose from 3 models in the 2000 Series. Each model fits a different duct size. All models will purify your entire home at MERV-13 efficiency when operating at the recommended airflow rate of 2,000 cubic feet per minute (CFM). This means each system removes 90% of pollen/mold spores measuring 0.3 to 10 microns, 90% of dust particles measuring 1 to 3 microns, and 76% of virus-size particles measuring 0.3 to 1 micron.

How They Operate
Aprilaire 2000 Whole House Air Cleaners are ducted air cleaners that install on or near your furnace or air handler and remain out of sight. As your HVAC system heats, cools, or circulates the air, the electrostatically charged filter simultaneously removes airborne allergens and particles. Clean conditioned air is then re-distributed throughout your entire home using your supply ductwork. Aprilaire whole house air cleaners must be installed by a qualified HVAC professional both to ensure proper installation.

Product was installed by HVAC professional during replacement of existing furnace & A/C systems. Was a straight-forward install of the casing unit itself. The media insertion is a bit of a challenge due to the pleated material being flexible. [For those who do not know - it is not fixed within a box to insert. It works like an accordion. You line up top/bottom onto slides and push into unit.] Not impossible, but does take a couple of minutes to get things lined up. Appears to be very good quality. And hoping it does a quality job of filtration based on the specs and experiences noted. I was originally looking at the 5000 model, however it only comes in 16x25 size, and I needed 20x25, so I ended up purchasing 2210 model instead.

I purchased this product to upgrade the HVAC filtration of my whole house. The Aprilaire 2000 was shipped and arrived quickly to my home. I added this inline into the return air which took about 5 hours to disconnect and reconnect everything. I did have to do some custom metal work to ensure a good fit. All in all, this product is exactly what my HVAC contractor recommended as one of the best filters on the market. This has significantly improved the air quality in my home.
