With increased energy efficiency and higher pint capacities, the AprilAire E100 Dehumidifier E-series dehumidifiers are premier whole-house models. Keep your dehumidifier out of the way and quiet by ducting one of these Aprilaire dehumidifiers to your HVAC system.
This compact dehumidifier can cover homes, crawl spaces, basements, and other spaces up to 5,200 square feet when ducted.
Versatile Installation Options
The E 100 series dehumidifiers are suitable for any environment. They can be ducted or used as standalone units.
- E100: Standard 100-pint HVAC dehumidifier with an 8-foot power cord for plug installation. Does not include a drain hose.
- E100C: The 100-pint model includes casters for more portable and standalone installations. An 8-foot power cord is included for plug installation, and a drain hose is provided.
- E100H: Need to hardwire your dehumidifier? The E100H is designed to be hardwired for long-term use. This model does not include a drain hose.
The AprilAire E series 100-pint dehumidifiers are compact enough to fit anywhere. Each unit stands at 14 x 15 x 26 inches.
Wi-Fi Enabled Version
The AprilAire E100W model offers a Wi-Fi-enabled dehumidifier that eases setup, pairing, and monitoring through the AprilAire Healthy Air App. This version of the E100 dehumidifier has a Wi-Fi-enabled digital controller with an onboard color display, which can be used to set and change its settings.
More Capacity, Less Operating Cost
An upgrade to the popular AprilAire 1850 series, these dehumidifiers remove more moisture with less energy usage. The greater performance means healthier air for homeowners. Its Energy Factor at AHAM is 2.35 L/kWh, earning it the Energy Star Most Efficient 2024 recognition. This recognition is for the dehumidifiers with the latest technological innovations and most efficient designs.
Ducting Options
Common installation locations include an equipment room, closet, basement, or attic. Hanging installation is also possible. Two 10-inch duct collars are included for ducting air return and supply, and the supply duct can be installed in one of two locations on the unit for more flexibility in your space.
Additional Features
- On-Board Humidity Control: Use the buttons to adjust the setting from 40 to 80 percent. Typically, customers initially set it to 55 percent and then adjust it up or down based on their feelings.
- Automatic Sensing: Your dehumidifier will automatically sense the air and compare it to your humidity setting, then adjust its operation as needed.
- Air Filter: Remove dust and other impurities before air travels through the dehumidifier and back into your space.
- Auto Defrost Control: In cool conditions, an automatic defroster turns off the compressor and runs the blower until the coils are defrosted to protect the unit from damage.
- Adjustable Outlet Options: The duct collar is adjustable for top or side discharge applications.
- Drain Hose Included With E100C: The 10-foot drain hose and easy attachment included with the Aprilaire E100C allow you to drain water to another location.

I recently installed this dehumidifier in my encapsulated crawl space. It is a very well constructed dehumidifier. It hasn't had to run for long due to the low humidity during this time of year but summer is around the corner. Time will tell..

Wow - made a huge difference! I am a homeowner who is very good at figuring things out, not a HVAC installer. My grown-daughter and her family have a two-story center-hall home that was running 80%+ humidity most of our hot summer in the Southeast US. I researched how to solve this problem, choose the Aprilaire E100 and Sylvane to deliver it, and then did the install myself. The humidity in their house is now running at +/- 45 - 50% and the house feels great. As expected, the Aprilaire drain line has a consistent water flow to the outside from the condensate. I did an in-line install on the 12"" return duct, dumping the conditioned air back into the return air plenum. I also installed separate returns in each bedroom (before they only had a supply in each bedroom). I returned those too to the plenum. I did both of these to accomplish three goals: 1) increase airflow, 2) better balance return and supply, and 3) dehumidify. I also installed the Aprilaire control on the wall next to the second floor thermostat. This whole solution turned out great and we love it.
