The Broan Roomside Series Radiation Damper BERD is a vital safety accessory designed for integration with select Broan Roomside Series ventilation fans. This damper is engineered to prevent the rapid spread of fire through ceiling ductwork by sealing off the fan housing if air temperatures passing through the damper exceed 165 degrees F, helping maintain the structural integrity of rated fire-resistant ceiling assemblies.
ETL-classified and UL-compliant, this damper is designed for use in 1, 2, and 3-hour rated floor-ceiling and roof-ceiling constructions.
Easy to install and built with a galvanized steel frame, high-temperature non-asbestos thermal fabric, stainless steel closure springs, and a slide-on easy-install sleeve, this accessory combines passive fire protection with a straightforward design.
