I bought the air purifier for my kitchen because I have a gas stove. During the winter when my windows are closed, I could smell something between the time that burners were turned on and the flame lit (there is no gas leak). I am more confident that the air in my kitchen is fine with the air purifier running. This air purifier has a low night setting which makes no detectable noise and is very low light. It would be good for my bedroom but I have a different air purifier (same brand) in my bedroom which is too large for my kitchen. Very happy with both.
