Most dehumidifiers only take humidity into consideration. The Smart Dehumidify function is perfect for worry-free and complete comfort.

- Energy Star Savings: This trusted dehumidifier earned the Energy Star seal for money- and energy-saving design and features.
- Upgraded On and Off Timer: An upgraded timer allows for setting your dehumidifier to turn on and then also turn off up to 24 hours in advance. Most timers simply turn the unit off after a certain amount of time. Set true start and stop times with this model.
- Precise Humidity Control: If you don’t want to use Smart Mode, simply set your desired indoor humidity level between 35% - 80% relative humidity. This Danby dehumidifier will work to maintain it.
Multiple Draining Options
The direct drain feature allows for continuous draining with a garden hose (not included). A full bucket indicator also notifies you when the bucket is full if you use manual draining.
Looking for the most convenient draining? Add an external condensate pump to push water up and out of the area and into a sink or other location.
NOTE: For this unit to continuously drain moisture, a 5/16-inch garden hose and 1-inch female threaded connector are required. Manufacturers state the garden hose attached to this dehumidifier should be no longer than 6 feet, or the unit may not drain properly.

- Humidity Display: Indicates your room’s current ambient humidity on top of the unit.
- Full Bucket Indicator: When the water collection tank is full, an indicator light will illuminate and the compressor and fan will turn off.
- Multiple Fan Speeds: For quick dehumidifying, the fan speed can be adjusted from low to high.
- Automatic Restart: If a power outage occurs the unit will resume operations in its previous settings.
- Washable Air Filter: Its reusable washable air filter will need to be periodically cleaned and an indicator light will let you know when it’s time.

- Automatic Defrost: Should the ambient temperature drop below 41 degrees F, the defrost indicator light will come and the unit will stop dehumidifying until frost has melted.

Seems to work OK save for short cycling. It stops and starts too much suggesting a short life span to me. You can run it in continuous mode but that seems inefficient. We'll see. A plastic thing you stick in the back still mystifies me as to its purpose.

I use this product in the downstairs bedroom that was beginning to smell musty. It's been raining a lot this winter, and this product pulls a lot of moisture from the air effectively. It's more comfortable now and the smell has gone!
