Description
This filter is the 1st stage pre-filter (115471, formerly F270) used in the Dri-Eaz DefendAir HEPA 500 Air Scrubber. This pre-filter is made of synthetic fiber filter media and is rated at a 10% efficiency. It captures the largest particles in the air and helps extend the life of the higher efficiency filters inside the air scrubber. Replace regularly to ensure maximum performance. Available in a pack of 12.

The prefilter was very easy to install and came with clear markings that indicate how to place it into the air scrubber. Selling these in 12 packs is a great idea. I needed to replace it twice for a bathroom demo.

These work well. Don't try and substitute these with a cheap big box item because they don't fit as well. I got a steal--about $80 for an 11 pack. One filter was slightly bent but fine considering the price. I use these to keep my stage 2 and more importantly my hepa filter clean as a whistle. During demo projects these stage 1 filters grab all the big stuff the stage 2 grabs the small stuff and leaves the really small for the hepa.
