Designed for living area use, this plug-in detector features non-alarm signals, such as low battery, to be silenced during dark conditions.

Advanced Protection

In addition to the audible alarm, the digital display provides CO levels in parts per million (PPM) so you can see if levels change. With LED technology, the CO levels are visible in dark conditions and at further distances than other alarms. Brightness level is automatically adjusted to adapt to ambient light conditions—brighter in light and softer at night.

When carbon monoxide is detected above 70PPM, the Kidde CO Detector sounds an alarm at 85 dB at 10 feet and a red LED will flash with these response times:

  • 70 PPM:    60-240 minutes
  • 150 PPM:  10-50 minutes
  • 400 PPM:  4-15 minutes

Sealed Battery Back-Up

In case of a power outage, the Kidde Carbon Monoxide Detector is equipped with a 10-year sealed lithium battery to ensure continued operation. This battery is tamper-proof and lasts the entire 10-year life of the unit.

Additional Features

  • Rotating AC Blades: These allow the unit to remain vertical whether the electrical socket is in a vertical or horizontal orientation.
  • Test/Reset Button: Use to test the unit for proper operation and to reset the CO alarm.
  • 10-Year End of Life Warning: The detector alerts you to replace it after 10 years of operation, as required by UL.
  • Automatic Activation: As soon as the detector is plugged into an AC outlet, the battery back-up is automatically activated.
  • Peak Level Memory: You will be alerted to a peak level event when CO concentrations are greater than 100 PPM. The display will alternate between PCO and the measured concentration in PPM. When you press the Peak Level button, the display shows the highest CO reading since its last reset or power up.
