Info & Guides

Description

Most air purifiers give you 1 filter and expect it to handle every problem. The Rabbit Air MinusA2 Artist Series HEPA Air Purifier builds its 6-stage system around a specialty filter you choose instead. That way a smoker's apartment and a baby's nursery each get filtration matched to what is actually in the air.

You can put it almost anywhere. The flat-panel body hangs on a wall or sits on a tabletop, and the Cherry Blossom front reads as artwork rather than an appliance. Onboard sensors track particles and odors around the clock, and in Auto or Pollen mode the MinusA2 adjusts its own fan speed so you don't have to.

Key Features and Benefits of the Rabbit Air MinusA2 Artist Series HEPA Air Purifier - Cherry Blossom

  • 6-Stage Filtration: Each of the 6 filtration stages targets a different kind of contaminant, so one purifier covers more ground than a single filter could.
  • BioGS HEPA Filter: The BioGS HEPA stage traps dust mites and dander along with pollen and mold, giving you steady relief from allergy and asthma triggers.
  • High CADR Ratings: Clean air delivery rates of 208 for pollen and 200 for dust mean airborne particles are pulled out of your room quickly.
  • Strong Airflow: Moving up to 218 CFM, the purifier gives 408 square feet of space 4 air changes per hour, the pace allergy sufferers need.
  • Library-Quiet Operation: At 25.6 decibels on the lowest of its 5 speeds, it runs quieter than a library, while turbo peaks at 51.3 decibels for fast cleanup.
  • Light Sensor: After 3 minutes of darkness, a light sensor switches to Sleep mode, turning off the lights and dropping to silent speed so you sleep undisturbed.
  • CARB Certified: CARB certification and negligible ozone emission mean the ionizer stage cleans your air without adding ozone to your home.
  • Low Energy Draw: A maximum draw of 61 watts on a standard 110-120-volt outlet keeps your running costs low, even when it runs all day.
  • Annual Filter Changes: A filter change indicator signals when to replace the 4 filters, which average 12 months apart, while the washable pre-filter rinses clean.
  • Portable Footprint: At 21.4 x 7 x 20-Inches (L x W x H) and 19.4 pounds, it carries easily from room to room by its recessed handle.

Choose Your Specialty Filter

Every version shares model SPA-780A and differs only in its specialty filter: Odor Remover, Toxin Absorber, Pet Allergy, or Germ Defense.

  • Odor Remover: This activated carbon filter targets smoke along with general odor and chemical concerns, and it raises the purifier's odor-absorbing effectiveness to 91 percent against cigarette and cooking smells.
  • Toxin Absorber: This filter absorbs chemical fumes and volatile organic compounds such as formaldehyde and benzene, which makes it the right fit for a home office or a newly renovated home.
  • Pet Allergy: This filter is made for pet hair and cuts down dog and cat dander along with the odors that come with them, so you can breathe easier around your animals.
  • Germ Defense: This filter adds a germ treatment layer that traps airborne bacteria and viruses and stops them from growing, along with mold spores, which suits a nursery or your room if you have a weakened immune system.

Sylvane's Expert Take

If you want BioGS HEPA filtration in a room where a bulky tower would look out of place, this Artist Series purifier deserves a look. It works best mounted on a bedroom or living room wall, where the sensors and light-triggered Sleep mode run it without any input from you. Your filter choice is the decision that matters most. The BioGS HEPA stage handles general allergens in every version, so pick your specialty filter for your worst air problem and the MinusA2 takes care of the rest.

We would buy this product again; does a great job.

So far this seems to be a great product, and we have noticed less dust in our home since we have been using it, that was one of the biggest problems which is why we bought it in the first place. We are considering getting another one. Also love the fact that it is so quiet. I would recommend this product to anyone. This company also gives great service, which is what the customer wants. Thank you Sylvane.

    OMG The gunk.

Far better than any other air purifier I have ever owned. I also have a 700. They are quiet compared to most units and you will be amazed and the gunk they take out of the air. On both of mine the hepa filter was black after just 30 days but the air flow is still good. Do not know if they will make it a full year, but with 6 cats. We will see.

    A great air purifer.

I looked extensively for an air purifier that would clean the air well and also take the dust out of the air. I also wanted one that was quiet, not loud and noisy. The Rabbit Air MinusA2 Cherry Blossom HEPA Air Purifier (SPA-780A) - Germ Defense has met all those criteria as well as being cost effective for the size and air capacity. I have it in a living area that has a vaulted ceiling; it looks nice in the room with the Cherry Blossom design and white base color. Rabbit Air seems to be ahead of other companies in the look of their units, not just a big large square box as most are. Since this was in a room where there is more people traffic, I wanted a unit that looked nice. It has some nice features such as the mood light, the remote, odor sensor and air quality sensor. The remote is nice; you can adjust the unit without having to get up. It switches to a sleep mode at night and is quiet and doesn't disturb you. On the higher stages it definitely circulates the air quickly. It requires cleaning the pre-filter once a month which is good. The other filters are once every year or two depending on usage. It is also energy efficient which is important if you use it a lot. I looked at Blue Air, but they seemed expensive in comparison models. I like the 5 stage filtration system, so far it has done very well. It provides clean air quality and I have noticed a reduction in dust in the area. Also the ability to be specific in the type of filtering you…
