Description
The Tjernlund AireShare Fan is changing how people think about single room cooling, heating and air purifying. Usually, if a door is closed or there isn’t adequate airflow, window air conditioners and other appliances only help with one room. The Tjernlund Room to Room Fan changes that.
How it Works
This cross-flow fan is installed in a wall with an intake in one room and blower on the other side of the wall to push air into a second room. The AireShare is designed to make rooms adjacent to ductless cooling and heating receive air even with doors closed or no other access to it. By moving air from one room to another, it saves you money by eliminating the need of another room appliance.
Adding this 75 CFM can change your room’s temperature by up to 3 degrees F per hour.

One Tjernlund AS1 Room to Room Fan is perfect for transferring air between rooms approximately 150 square feet.

Installation
Professional installation is required for this model. Its dimensions are 15.75 x 7.75 x .25 inches (L x H x D). It must be installed between wall studs that are at least 16 inches wide.
Note: You need to add a 120-volt wall switch or thermostat to turn this model on or off.

Things to Consider
- Installation Directions: Professional installation is required. Don’t install in an exhaust ductwork where the equivalent duct length is less than 25 feet. Also, don’t install less than 5 linear feet from dryer exhaust outlet or when exhaust air exceeds 167 degrees F. You also need to add a 120-volt switch to turn it on or off (typically customers purchase one at a local convenience store).

I really like the quality of the parts. My one complaint is that the installation instructions do not say which way the air moves through the unit. I guess I should known that ""diffuser"" was on the exhaust, however I installed the diffuser on the wall where I wanted the suction to come from. Later I had to recut the holes and swap fan and diffuser.

Used to help move air from split air in main room to an adjacent bedroom. This product really works as advertised and helps balance the temperature. It's much quieter than other styles on market and fits neatly in the wall cavity. We went ahead and purchased an optional 24 volt conversion kit to allow us to run a standard thermostat to control it. Much easier to sleep on hot summer nights!

We mounted it in a mechanical room, in the wall common with the house. It is working well to move the heated air out of the mechanical blowing it into the laundry room . Functions very well, is quiet.
