The Vornado Velocity 5R Whole Room Space Heater features auto climate and velocity tuned heat for simple whole room comfort during cold months.
This whole room space heater also features two heating modes plus a fan only function for general air circulation year-round.
Effective Whole Room Heating
The Velocity 5R portable space heater is part of Vornado’s Velocity Tuned Heat series which creates more heat that is 30% hotter when compared to the VH200 model. It also delivers that heated air 39% faster and farther into the room than ever before.
You’ll save money by turning your furnace thermostat down and only heating the room you’re occupying instead of the entire house. Easily portable, you can move this 6-pound space heater wherever you go…even when traveling.
Ultimate Safety Features
This whole room heater is ultra-safe to operate. The cool-touch case and finger-friendly design makes it safe for use around children and pets, and a locking control panel means settings can’t be accidentally changed.
Should the airflow become blocked for any reason, or the heater is tipped over, the automatic shut-off switch will turn off the heater immediately. In addition, the excess power cord can be safely stowed in a specially-designed tray in the back of the heater, also useful when storing it.
Intuitive Control
The Vornado 5R space heater has an LED touch control panel plus an included remote control for easily making and adjusting your heat settings.
- Heat Settings: Set the heater on low heat (750 watts), or high heat (1500 watts) to create your perfectly comfortable environment.
- Thermostat: Use the plus/minus buttons to change the temperature to your desired setting—display it in Fahrenheit or Celsius.
- Timer: Automatically power off the heater by pressing the clock button to set the timer. Use the plus/minus buttons to set it for up to 12 hours in one-hour intervals.
- Nighttime Mode: In this setting, all the lights illuminating the control panel will turn off except the nighttime button.
- Control Lock: Press the padlock key to lock the control panel to protect from inadvertent changes.

- Integrated Handle: This compact heater can be easily transported using the integrated handle on the top of the unit.
- Remote Control Battery Included: The 5R's remote control comes with a CR2032 coin style battery.
- Fan Only: With the heating mode turned off, you can use the Velocity 5R space heater as a high-powered air circulator whenever you need it.
- Simple Maintenance: The Vornado 5R can be quickly cleaned using the dusting brush attachment on your vacuum to clean the front grille and back inlet filter. Wipe down the exterior with a soft, dry cloth as needed.
- Easy to ReSet: Should your heater’s auto shut-off be activated, you can manually reset the heater. Turn the power button to off, unplug the heater, wait 5-10 minutes for cool-down, then plug in and turn it on.
