Multi-Stage Filtration
Building upon the success of their other units, this smart air purifier from Winix features four filtration stages. With a more robust filtration system, it’ll dramatically improve indoor quality by removing allergy-triggering particles and odors.
- Stage 1 - Washable Fine Mesh Pre-Filter: Captures large particles in the air like dust, dander, and pet hair. Trapping these at the beginning helps extend the lives of the unit's other filters.

User-Friendly Design
With a thoughtfully crafted, sleek black and gray trim design, the Winix PlasmaWave 9800 Wi-Fi Air Purifier easily blends into the background. Even though it’s a powerful unit, it’s simple to maintain.
- Air Quality Indicator: An indicator light found on the front of the unit lets you know the current quality of your indoor air with 3 color readings. Quality levels include good (blue), fair (amber), and poor (red).
- Automatic Operation: When in Auto Mode, the fan speed is automatically adjusted based on indoor air quality readings.
- Multiple Fan Speeds: Four fan speeds are available, ranging from the quiet low speed to the fast cleaning turbo speed for customized control.
- Sleep Mode: Place the unit in Sleep Mode to turn the fan on its lowest speed and disable the air quality light for quiet nighttime air cleaning.
- Timer: Set the air purifier to operate for a period of 1 hour, 4 hours, or 8 hours.

I use the 9800 in a 400 sq ft room. It clears the air quickly and the plasma wave is freshening. However, the light sensor disables auto mode in low light and this can't be defeated. Must use manual
