Info & Guides

Description

Warm air collects up near the roof of a high-ceiling building, and the floor where people work stays uncomfortable. The MiniProp line handles this in 2 ways. Heat destratification pushes trapped warmth back down to even out temperatures, and constant airflow cools the people below. For best results, mount the fan between 12 and 25 feet above the floor.

With temperatures more even from floor to ceiling, you can raise your thermostat set points and run your HVAC system less, cutting energy costs by up to 30 percent. A more comfortable space also helps your employees stay productive and keeps your guests at ease.

Key Features and Benefits of the SkyBlade MiniProp 3 Blade HVLS Ceiling Fan

  • ECM Direct Drive: A 1.35-horsepower, IP65-rated ECM motor is direct drive and totally enclosed, so it runs quietly and is protected from dust and moisture.
  • Corrosion-Resistant Mount: The 0.25-inch powder-coated steel and anodized aluminum mounting resists rust and corrosion, even in damp and cold environments.
  • Contoured Aluminum Blades: The 3 extruded, anodized E420 aluminum blades are contoured to move as much air as possible across your floor.
  • Nylon 66 Wingtips: Wingtips made of nylon 66 turn outward airflow into the downward column, so more of the cooling reaches the people below.
  • 10-Speed Controller: The included SkyBlade Single Yoke Controller (1034-1-DD) has 10 speeds and a forward/reverse switch, so you can adjust both airflow speed and direction.
  • Installation Cable Included: Each fan ships with 100 feet of 6-core shielded cable for the connection between the controller and the fan.
  • Voltage Choice: Both sizes come in 110-120-volt or 220-240-volt single-phase versions, so you can match the hardwired fan to your building's electrical service.
  • 1,000-Watt Maximum: The fan draws up to 1,000 watts, which helps you plan the electrical circuit for your hardwired installation.
  • Long Warranty Coverage: The motor has a 5-year warranty, and the blades and hubs have lifetime warranties.

Choose Your Fan Diameter

The MiniProp comes in 2 diameters, 7 feet and 8 feet, so you can match the fan's reach to your floor plan.

  • 7-Foot Model MP0721: The MP0721 covers up to 3,925 square feet for heat destratification and has a maximum effective cooling diameter of 35 feet, about 962 square feet of direct cooling, so it suits smaller open areas.
  • 8-Foot Model MP0824: The MP0824 covers up to 5,024 square feet for heat destratification and has a maximum effective cooling diameter of 40 feet, about 1,256 square feet, so each fan reaches more of a larger space.

Sylvane's Expert Take

If you manage a commercial space with ceilings between 12 and 25 feet and uneven temperatures, the MiniProp line is a strong fit. Choose the 8-foot model if you want fewer fans covering more floor, or the 7-foot model for tighter layouts. If your space runs damp, the totally enclosed IP65 motor and corrosion-resistant mount matter most, since the mount withstands rust even in damp and cold conditions.
