- Wick Replacement: It is recommended that you change the wick at the beginning of every season. In hard water areas, more frequent replacement may be necessary to maintain your humidifier’s efficiency. Replace with the Essick Air Super Wick.
- Control Bacteria: Essick Air Bacteria Treatment helps to control bacteria and algae growth in an evaporative humidifier. 32 oz. Add a half a cap per gallon of water when you refill your humidifier.

Purchased this humidifier a month ago to help alleviate my winter dry skin and dry sinuses. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. Did my research and read lots of reviews on different brands & models before making a decision. I chose this model because it claims to be a whole house model and it didn't leak, or cover furniture with white powder as some reportedly did. I can feel a significant difference in the air with this humidifier, and I'm only running it at fan levels 1 & 2 with the humidity thermostat set between 45 & 55. Thermostat will adjust up to 65 and fan level will adjust up to 9. It is important that this unit be able to blow air from both right and left sides and get its air intake from the back. Must be placed at least 2"" from wall for air intake. I've placed the unit just inside the door of a hallway bath, which is near 3 bedrooms and is right across the hall from a return air vent in my house. At night I pull it into the hallway, then in the morning roll it back into the bathroom. However, it seems to do a great job moisturizing the air whether I run it while inside the bathroom doorway, or in the hallway. I can feel that the air is improved throughout my 2000 sf house. The fan can be adjusted from levels 1-9 and just sounds like most any stand alone fan running, so I will forewarn those who don't like listening to a fan, this could be a problem. At levels 1 & 2 it is fairly quiet, but beyond that, you really notice it. Personally, I like a fan…

love my new humidifier.. my old was over twenty years old and finally stopped working... this new one is great because the footprint of the unit is so much smaller than the old one and quieter. It was easy to set up and understand how to operate and also easy to refill the water.

I had very dry itchy skin that has been much helped by the humidifier. I was hoping to see my sinuses improve as well and that has happened as yet, at least not as much as I would have hoped.
