Versatile Air Cleaning
Equipped with a 40-square-foot HEPA filter and 18 lbs. of enhanced activated carbon, the Airpura V600 air cleaner powerfully filters out and absorbs airborne pollutants from spaces as large as 2,000 sq. ft.
Specifically, the V600 unit removes:
- Chemicals: Including formaldehyde, VOCs, ammonia, benzene, toluene, radon, glues, pesticides, methylene chloride, mold mycotoxins, and perchloroethylene.
- Smoke: Including tobacco smoke and smoke odors.
- Particles: Including pet dander, dust, dust mites, pollen, mold spores, and asbestos.
Multi-Stage Filtration
To ensure top-notch effectiveness during the filtration process, air that flows into the V600 passes through a pressure-sealed filter chamber equipped with three different filters. These include:
- Pre-Filter: This 570-sq.-in. x 1-in.-deep filter collects large particles and helps to extend the life of the HEPA and carbon filters. It can be vacuumed clean and should be changed every 12 months.
- Carbon Filter: With 18 lbs. of premium-quality activated carbon, this filter collects and absorbs a variety of chemical pollutants, odors, and tobacco smoke from the air. The carbon filter typically lasts up to 2 years, depending on usage.
Comparative units have carbon beds that measure only 1 in. deep or less, which reduces dwell time and, in turn, cuts filtration effectiveness. The V600's 2-in.-deep carbon bed helps you achieve the highest possible level of chemical filtration for your indoor air.
Two HEPA Filter Options
- Standard HEPA: The V600 is equipped with 40-sq.-ft. of True HEPA filter material that removes up to 99.97% of airborne particles that are as small as 0.3 microns in diameter. It lasts approximately 5 years under regular use.
- HyperHEPA: The V614 is the best choice for people with severe allergies or prone to sickness since it removes up to 99.99% of airborne particles that are as small as 0.3 microns in diameter. This removes the illness-causing particles the standard HEPA misses. It lasts approximately 5 years under regular use.

I have only plugged into electricity for one month, and have not lived in the house we are trying to eliminate the smoke and odor smell. So far the machine appears to be doing the job it is advertised to do.

We live in a city with high pollution. We are within two miles of a major airport, a chevron plant and a water treatment plant! Since living here my children and I have developed an asthma cough, allergy symptoms while testing negative for allergies, headaches, dizziness, prolonged colds. We learned that this purifier will help within 3 months to heal our polluted lungs. We have had it less than three weeks and the coughing has come to almost a complete stop! My headaches are gone! The air we breathe is pure and I'm so happy I purchased this product. It's not too loud and doesn't get in the way (though it is big)

First, the small negative : the speed settings are not terribly sophisticated (a simple rotary dial that is turned from the equivalents of 6:30 a.m. to about 5:30 p.m. There is very little difference between the noise at the lowest setting and the noise at the medium (noon - 1 p.m.) setting. It's not unbearable for me, but for some it might be a bit too much. To be fair, it's a solid hum, nothing rattling or really annoying. However, I think that the improvement of the air quality is significant. My piano tuner, who is somewhat allergic to cats and usually starting to sniffle quite a bit after only one hour in my house, noticed without my prompting that the last time she was here -- for two hours that time -- her nose and eyes were completely clear. She also remarked that the old house smell that she had noticed on every visit before was gone. So I think it really does work well to clear the air out.
