Description
Description
The Aprilaire 63 Automatic Digital Modulating Control Package is designed for use with the 801 Steam Humidifier and allows precise control over the relative humidity level in your home. The package includes a digital modulating wall-mounted humidistat, duct sensor, blower activation relay, and outdoor temperature sensor.
The wall-mounted control features microcomputer based design with a large LCD digital display with backlight and humidification/dehumidification indicators. Select Celsius or Fahrenheit scale, and program your desired humidity set point from 0 - 100% RH.
Wall Mounted Digital Control Features:
- Outputs controlling humidification and dehumidification equipment by means of on/off or proportional output signals for greater flexibility.
- Modulating Output Signal provides a 0-10Vdc or 2-10Vdc proportional control signal to the humidifier.
- Remote duct sensing for better application flexibility.
- Programmable Proportional Band to increase or decrease the sensitivity of the humidifier control.
- Humidity set-point reset function based on outdoor temperature which helps prevent condensation in colder climates.
- Humidifier On-Off signal 24Vac dry contact capable of handling up to 1 amp.
- Proportional High Limit Override to prevent over-humidification within the duct and costly water damage.
- Multi-level lockable access menu and lockable set point to prevent accidental changes.
Additional Features:
- Outdoor Temperature Sensor: When used with the wall mounted humidistat, the humidity set point is automatically readjusted based on the difference between room temperature and the outside temperature to prevent window condensation.
- Duct Humidity Sensor: A proportional duct sensor can be used as the primary measurement of the relative humidity in the duct instead of the room and responds to the needs of the wall mount humidistat. When not used as the controlling sensor, the duct sensor can be sued as a proportional high limit override, providing feedback to the wall mounted humidistat to prevent condensation in the duct.
- Blower Activation Relay: This feature allows the humidistat to turn on the HVAC blower when there is a call for humidity, even when the HVAC system is idle, to provide needed moisture to the environment.

This control package arrived on time & in great shape. Installed easily but setup is difficult if you're using the remote temperature sensor, the remote humidity sensor & the blower activation relay accessories. If you use the Automatic Digital Modulating Control Package with the Aprilaire 801 Modulating Humidifier beware that the Aprilaire installation instructions (included) don't agree with the Neptronic (mfr) installation instructions that are included with the kit. #sweepstakes
