What are MediClean Products & How are They Used?
MediClean Disinfectant Spray Plus: Effective against bacteria, fungi, mold, and mildew. Useful on porous and non-porous surfaces with stasis capabilities that inhibit future growth of bacteria & fungi. EPA Registration Number: 70385-5
MediClean Germicidal Cleaner Concentrate: EPA registered as a fungicide, virucide, disinfectant, sanitizer, and mildewstat. Heavy-duty cleaner and deodorizer. EPA Registration Number: 70385-6
MediClean X590 Institutional Spray: EPA registered for use on soft surfaces, including mattresses for fighting bedbugs & larvae, in addition to roaches, lice, ants, and beetles. EPA Registration Number: 70385-3
MediClean BotaniClean Germicidal Disinfectant: Using a unique thymol blend that is registered with the EPA as a Category IV low-toxicity disinfectant, this can be used to clean, disinfect, and deodorize in one step, eliminating bacteria and viruses. EPA Registration Number: 34810-25-70385
How safe are MediClean products?
MediClean products are powerful disinfectants and cleaners. They are not harmful to humans or pets; however, it must be stressed that they should be used exactly as indicated on the product label to ensure safety. The BotaniClean uses a Thymol blend as the active ingredient, which is a nature-inspired, low-toxicity disinfectant.
Is MediClean effective against SARS?
Not all MediClean products are effective against this virus, but the Germicidal Cleaner Concentrate specifically names it as one of the viruses it effectively treats.
Can MediClean be used in a fogger?
It depends on which product you are using. Only the X590 Institutional Spray and the Disinfectant Spray Plus can be safely used in a fogger.
Are Mediclean products effective against bacteria and viruses?
Yes, these products, with the exception of the X590 Spray, are effective against many common bacteria such as staph and strep, and some, but not all, viruses. For specific microbials, please see product labels as they specifically state which viruses and bacteria that product has been tested and proven effective against.
Can MediClean be used in public areas?
Yes, MediClean products can be used in almost any public arena, including hospitals, doctors’ and dentists’ offices, schools, and other institutions, as well as in homes. There are very specific guidelines for how each product should be used, so careful reading of the entire label should be done before using any of them.
What is the best way to use MediClean?
Each product has specific instructions for use, but generally, they are applied to pre-cleaned surfaces that are cleaned. Some are ready-to-use and should not be diluted. Others should be diluted at various strengths depending on the microbial being targeted. BotaniClean and the Germicidal Cleaner are one-step cleaner-disinfectants and can be used in one application for both.
