Very strong light only helps if your plants can use it. The PhotonTek XT 1000W Pro LED Grow Light gives you 2 ways to run it. You can hang it close to the canopy and add CO2 for the highest yield, or you can raise it and spread the light wider if you'd rather skip the CO2.

The modular frame matters as much as the output. Each bar attaches with magnets, so you can start a small tent with just a couple of bars and add more as your space grows, without switching fixtures.

Run CO2 or Raise the Light: Choosing Your Coverage

PPFD measures how much light reaches your canopy. Once it goes above 1,000 micromoles per square meter per second, your plants can use extra CO2 to turn the added light into growth. PhotonTek recommends matching CO2 to PPFD at a 1:1 ratio up to 1,500 micromoles, so a canopy at 1,500 calls for roughly 1,500 PPM CO2. Hung close with CO2, the XT Pro covers a footprint of 5 x 5 feet for both veg and flower.

If you skip the CO2, raise the fixture instead. You'll cover 6 x 6 feet at a lower intensity, which makes sense if you care more about canopy size than peak light. Either way, the frame measures 46.5 x 42.95 x 4.16-Inches (L x W x H) and weighs 39.68 pounds, so make sure your hanging hardware can hold a full-size fixture.

If you're running a 5 x 5 tent or a flower room and already add CO2, this fixture is worth it. At full power, the 2.9 micromoles per joule efficacy helps keep your power use and heat down. The magnetic bars let you grow with 1 frame instead of replacing lights as you expand.

The main thing to know before you hang it is that light above 1,000 PPFD is used more efficiently with CO2 added. If you don't add CO2, raise the light and take the wider coverage. Set it up for your room and you get top-tier intensity from a single fixture.
