Description

Bringing fresh air into a commercial building usually means paying to heat or cool it. The S&P TRCeN1200H Commercial Energy Recovery Ventilator cuts that cost by passing energy from the outgoing air to the incoming air while keeping the 2 airstreams apart. You get the air exchanges modern building codes call for, and your HVAC system has less work to do. The ventilator comes in 120-volt and 208-230-volt single-phase configurations.

Cold weather is where this ERV pulls ahead. Its resin recovery cores move moisture as well as heat, so frost doesn't build up and there is no defrost cycle to interrupt ventilation or waste energy. Your system keeps recovering heat through the coldest part of the season.

Key Features and Benefits of the S&P TRCeN1200H 1575 CFM Commercial Energy Recovery Ventilator w/ EC Motor

  • Twin EC Motors: Airflow comes from 2 direct-drive electronically commutated blowers that move 375 to 1,575 CFM, so you can match ventilation to occupancy without oversizing the system.
  • AHRI 1060 Cores: An L62-G5 full core and an L125-G5 half-core cross the airstreams without mixing them, so stale exhaust stays separate from your fresh supply air.
  • Frost-Free Recovery: The resin cores prevent frost build-up down to -10 degrees F, so you avoid mechanical or electrical defrost and keep heat recovery running.
  • Electronic Controls: A 24 VAC transformer relay package gives you simple on/off control, and on-board potentiometers with independent blower control let you set supply and exhaust speeds separately.
  • Dial-A-Flow Balancing: Cross-core differential pressure ports work with Dial-A-Flow, so you can measure and balance airflow accurately during commissioning.
  • MERV 8 Filtration: The 4 included MERV 8 filters clean both the outdoor and room airstreams, which protects the cores and keeps impurities out of your space.
  • Serviceable Cabinet: The fully insulated gray case measures 53.63 x 48.75 x 34.5-Inches (L x W x H), and access doors give quick entry to the blowers and cores.
  • Floor or Ceiling: At 504 pounds, the ERV sits on a concrete floor on leveling legs or hangs from a ceiling or structural support, and side ports ease duct layout.
  • Built-In Disconnect: A non-fused disconnect on this hardwired ventilator lets your electrician cut power at the cabinet for safe servicing.
  • Power Rating: A rated draw of 1,017 watts helps you plan electrical load along with the circuit requirements for your chosen voltage.
  • Listed and Certified: The ventilator carries AHRI 1060 and Ecowatt certifications and is cETLus listed, and it meets the 2009 domestic-content rules and BABA requirements under the IIJA (2022).

Choose Your Voltage

You can order the TRCeN1200H as a 120-volt single-phase or a 208-230-volt single-phase model, depending on the power at your mounting location.

  • 120-Volt Single Phase: This 60 Hz model draws 480 watts and 6.7 full-load amps per motor and needs a circuit of at least 15.1 amps with a 20-amp maximum overcurrent protective device, so it suits buildings where that supply is closest to hand.
  • 208-230-Volt Single Phase: This 60 Hz model draws 770 watts but only 3.4 full-load amps per motor and needs a circuit of at least 7.7 amps with a 15-amp maximum overcurrent protective device, so you can run it on a smaller circuit.

Sylvane's Expert Take

If you're an HVAC contractor or facility manager adding code-required fresh air to a commercial space, this ERV is a strong pick for cold-climate jobs because its cores handle -10 degrees F with no defrost cycle. Plan for the 504-pound weight before you commit to a ceiling mount. Both voltage versions share airflow and controls, so choose the one that matches the circuit you already have.
