Replacing a tired central system in a larger home usually means you want to keep the ductwork you already have. The MRCOOL VersaPro Central Ducted Heat Pump Split System connects to those existing ducts. It pairs an inverter-driven outdoor condenser with an indoor air handler to heat and cool your whole house. You can order it with or without auxiliary heat, and with or without a pre-charged line set.

Climate range is where this heat pump earns its place. The inverter compressor keeps both heating and cooling working down to -22 degrees F outdoors, with heating rated up to 75 degrees F and cooling up to 122 degrees F. That means one system can handle both January cold snaps and July heat waves.

Choose Your Auxiliary Heat and Line Set Configuration

You can set up the VersaPro along 2 axes: auxiliary heat (None, 10 kW, 15 kW, or 20 kW) and line set length (No Line Set, 15 feet, 25 feet, 35 feet, or 50 feet).

With the None auxiliary heat option, the heat pump does all the heating on its own, which works well where your winters stay within its heating range. The 10 kW, 15 kW, and 20 kW supplemental heater kits add extra heat on top of the heat pump's output. Go for a higher kilowatt rating if your home faces long, deep-cold stretches.

The 15-foot, 25-foot, 35-foot, and 50-foot options each include a pre-charged R-454B Quick Connect line set of that length, so your installer can join the refrigerant circuit without charging it on site. Choose the No Line Set option if your installer plans to supply a custom line set.
