Description
Description
The Pioneer ECOasis 50 Ductless Energy Recovery Ventilator refreshes the indoor air while simultaneously filtering out harmful particles. This energy-efficient solution removes stale indoor air and brings in fresh outdoor air, supplying up to 35.3 CFM of airflow. The Energy Star-rated ERV’s compact design also features a high-tech ceramic energy accumulator, which adjusts the heat and moisture of the incoming air, so that it will be close to the room temperature. It is ideal for homes, apartments, hotels, and cafes.
- Recovery Efficiency: It has an outstanding heat recovery efficiency of up to 97 percent.
- Air Filtration: The filtration layers remove pollutants like dust, pollen, and microbial volatile organic compounds (MVOCs) that affect health throughout the year.
- Air Quality Monitoring: A built-in carbon dioxide sensor automatically tracks CO2 and oxygen levels inside the space, and you can access this data on the app at any time.
- Mini-Split Support: This ductless ERV is an excellent addition to work with ductless mini-split air conditioners, as fresh air is hard to introduce and circulate with a mini-split system in place. Take a look at the available Pioneer mini-splits.
Note: Installation and connection operations must be performed by properly qualified personnel.
Minimize System Strain
As indoor air is cycled through and out, this ventilator heats or cools the incoming outside air to match the indoor air temperature, so your furnace system or HVAC has less work to maintain the current temperature settings. Installing two ECOasis 50 ERVs is recommended to take full advantage of this benefit, as one will exhaust stale air while the other brings in fresh air.
Easy Operation
This Pioneer ERV is straightforward to operate. Its remote control allows selection of fan speed, working mode, and is capable of controlling one or more devices.
- Ventilation Mode: The ERV runs at a set speed in either exhaust or supply mode.
- Regeneration Mode: The ventilator operates in two 75-second cycles to supply moisture and heat regeneration.
- Wi-Fi Control: Download the Pioneer Airlink app to control and monitor the ERV from anywhere. The app shows multiple features, including a filter indicator, timers, current operating mode, fan speed and fan boost functions, and a CO2 sensor reading. It is available in the Google Play Store or the App Store.
Installation and Maintenance
After a qualified professional completes the installation of this Pioneer Energy Recovery Ventilator, the system requires minimal maintenance. The step-by-step instructions will ensure clean air circulates quickly in your space.
- Wall-Mounted: This ERV air exchanger mounts through any wall with a variable length from 8.5 to 14.1 inches.
- Air Duct: A diameter of 6.25 inches is required for installation.
- Temperature Range: This ERV is engineered for indoor applications with an ambient temperature range of -4 to 122 degrees F and relative humidity below 80 percent.
- Filters: The filtration system prevents foreign objects from entering the ERV’s inner workings, and a MERV 11 filter layer removes pollutants from the outdoor air before entering inside. Each filter requires cleaning or replacement per the owner’s manual.
- Routine Cleaning: Remove the fan to clean thoroughly once a year to ensure optimum performance. The fragile ceramic energy regenerator should be cleaned at least four times each year.
Additional Features
- Minimal Energy Consumption: The average power draw of this ductless ventilator is only 8 watts on high speed.
- Rainproof Design: This ERV air exchanger has an IPX4 water-resistance rating and is designed with a hooded and angled outdoor cover so rain slides off and away.
- Lightweight: This ventilator weighs only 11 pounds.
- Super Quiet Operation: The maximum sound output reaches only 32.7 dB, a noise level above a whisper.
Sylvane’s Expert Take
This Pioneer ERV provides clean air ventilation with energy efficiency. It simultaneously brings in fresh outdoor air and removes stale indoor air to refresh the air in your home.
- Standout Feature: An integrated CO2 sensor monitors the CO2 and oxygen levels inside the room to enhance breathability.
- Maintenance: The filters are washable and reusable, and can be replaced as needed.
