Great for factories, laboratories, oil refineries, and other hazardous environments, this unit packs a powerful cooling performance. It easily installs in windows or even through the wall. Simple to operate, this durably constructed air conditioner has a maximum airflow of 375 cubic feet per minute (CFM).

Extreme Environment Cooling

Carefully designed and built, the Friedrich HCM20A30A was manufactured for safe operation in extreme and hazardous environments such as factories, oil refineries, laboratories, and other industrial areas up to 1,100 square feet.

  • Low Surface Temperature: With a maximum surface temperature of 275 degrees Fahrenheit, this unit has received a T4 temperature classification and is safe for use around flammable material and dust.
  • Sealed Construction: Eliminating the opportunity for harmful particles to enter the unit, its fan motor and other main components are housed inside a sealed system.
  • Low and High Temperature Use: Designed for operation in extreme temperatures, the air conditioner is built to operate in temperatures as low as 45 degrees and as high as 130 degrees Fahrenheit.

Two Installation Options

Different rooms call for different set-ups, that’s why this Friedrich Hazardgard 21,000 BTU Window AC is capable of being installed in a window or in a wall.

  • Window Installation: Fits windows with widths ranging in size from 27 7/8 to 42 inches.
  • In-Wall Installation: When installed in a wall it’ll have finished dimensions of 18 3/16” (H) x 26 3/16” (W) x 6” (D).

Simple Operation

Industrial cooling has been made easy with this Friedrich industrial air conditioner. Its control panel features a toggle power switch and rotary temperature control dial. Turning the dial allows you to go from the lowest speed all the way to the maximum 21,000 BTUs of cooling power.

This Friedrich Hazardgard features a split capacitor motor, allowing the unit to power up quickly without wasting energy. Its Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) is an impressive 9.7.
