Description
Description
How evenly light reaches the canopy matters as much as how much the fixture puts out. The HLG Scorpion Diablo X spreads its output across 6 Diablo Quantum boards, and redirecting reflectors push light down to the lower canopy. It works over tents, flood tables, rolling benches, and vertical racks. You can pick a Standard model with wired dimming or a GrowFlux model with wireless control.
Key Features and Benefits of the HLG Scorpion Diablo X Full Spectrum Commercial Indoor LED Grow Light
- Total Output: The fixture produces 2145 PPF, giving you enough light to drive dense flowering across a full commercial canopy.
- High Efficacy: A rating of 3.06 micromoles per joule means more of the electricity you pay for becomes light your plants can use.
- Samsung LED Diodes: Full-spectrum Samsung white diodes paired with deep-red diodes support both vegetative growth and flowering under one light.
- Stage-Based Coverage: The light covers 5 x 5 feet in flower and 6 x 6 feet in veg, so you can run a wider footprint early in the cycle.
- Adjustable Mounting Height: Hang it 15 to 24 inches above the canopy for flowering or 30 to 36 inches for vegetative growth to match intensity to each stage.
- Dimmable Power Supply: The included dimmable power supply lets you turn the 700-watt draw down for young plants and back up for heavy flowering.
- Passive Cooling: An integrated passive-cooled design runs at an average of 77 degrees F, which helps you keep heat down in your grow space.
- Plant-Tuned Spectrum: A red-heavy 48:32:20 red-to-green-to-blue ratio puts more of the output into the wavelengths plants use for growth and flowering.
- Dual Voltage Cords: Power cords for both 120V and 240V are included, so you can wire the light to standard or commercial circuits.
- Power Cord: The 8 feet of cord and 5-15P plug give you enough slack to route power neatly around tents and rack tiers.
- Slim Profile: The fixture measures 38.75 x 36.125 x 3.25-Inches (L x W x H) and weighs 24.15 pounds, so it fits between tight vertical rack shelves.
Standard vs GrowFlux: Choose Your Dimming Control
The Scorpion Diablo X comes in Standard and GrowFlux versions, and the difference is how you control light intensity.
- Standard: The Standard model gives you a manual dimming knob for hands-on adjustment, plus an included RJ12 0-10V jack so you can hand dimming over to an external controller when you're ready to automate.
- GrowFlux: The GrowFlux model uses GrowFlux wireless dimming, which lets you link up to 200 lights and set schedules and intensity from the app.
Note: The RJ12 jack on the Standard model needs a third-party controller to dim, and GrowFlux wireless control requires a GrowFlux Access Point.
Sylvane's Expert Take
If you're outfitting a commercial flower room or multi-tier rack, the Scorpion Diablo X suits setups where coverage across several tiers matters. The redirecting reflectors are the detail to know, since they push more light toward lower canopy levels.
Pick the Standard model if you run a single tent or already own a 0-10V controller. Choose GrowFlux once adjusting knobs room by room takes up too much of your day. Both versions share the same boards and spectrum, so the decision comes down to how you prefer to dim.
