Info & Guides

Description

In a small grow space, uneven lighting shows up fast: the center gets bright and the corners stay weak. The PhotonTek SQ 200W Pro LED Grow Light deals with that using a square bar layout that spreads light evenly from edge to edge. You can hang it close to the canopy so every plant in the footprint gets the same strong light.

The SQ 200W Pro covers the same footprint in vegetative growth and in flowering, so a single fixture can carry your plants through the entire cycle. It ships with all cables, hangers, and a dimmer, so you can set it up the day it arrives.

Key Features and Benefits of the PhotonTek SQ 200W Pro LED Grow Light

  • High PPF Output: Total output of 508 micromoles per second gives your plants a dense ceiling of light from seedling stage through harvest.
  • Efficient Light Delivery: A system efficacy of 2.5 micromoles per joule turns more of the 208 watts it draws into light your plants can use.
  • Full-Spectrum Diodes: Higher-spec white diodes combine with red and far-red diodes to give you balanced spectrum coverage and uniform light spread.
  • Stepped Dimming: The included 0-10V dimmer moves from off up to full power in 25 percent steps, so you can match intensity to each growth stage.
  • Wide Distribution: A 120-degree light spread reaches wide across the square footprint, cutting down on dim spots at the edges of your canopy.
  • IP65 Waterproof Rating: IP65 protection helps the fixture stand up to the humidity and watering of an enclosed grow space.
  • 60,000-Hour Lifespan: The LEDs are rated for 60,000 hours of operation, so you can run cycle after cycle on the same fixture.
  • Dual Voltage Ratings: The fixture is rated for 110-120 or 277 volts, and its 5-15P plug fits a standard household outlet.
  • Low Amp Draw: A maximum draw of 1.76 amps leaves room on your circuit for fans or a dehumidifier running alongside the light.
  • UL and CSA: UL and CSA certifications confirm the fixture has been tested to recognized electrical safety standards, giving you peace of mind.

Sizing the SQ 200W Pro for Your Grow Space

At 20.65 x 20.65 x 2.82-Inches (L x W x H), the SQ 200W Pro is nearly as wide as the 2.6 x 2.6 feet of canopy it lights. That makes it a good fit for a small grow tent or closet, where the fixture and plants share tight quarters. Its 2.82-inch profile takes up very little vertical space, which leaves your plants more height to stretch. At 8.82 pounds, it is light enough for you to raise or lower on the included hangers as your plants grow.

Sylvane's Expert Take

If you're growing in a compact tent or closet and want a single fixture for both veg and flower, the SQ 200W Pro is a strong pick. It works best hung close to the canopy over a 2.6 x 2.6-foot footprint, where the square bar layout keeps coverage even. The figure to note is its 2.5 micromoles per joule efficacy, which keeps your energy use in check. Use the included dimmer to dial intensity up or down as plants move from veg into flower.
