Whether you’re a pet owner looking to remove pet dander and odor, an allergy or asthma sufferer in need of relief, or you just desire improved indoor air quality, the Airmega 400S Smart Air Purifier by Coway is the air purifier for you.
Equipped with Wi-Fi integration, you not only have total control of the unit from anywhere on your smartphone or tablet, but real-time access to air quality levels and trends. Two-stage filtration, automatic operation, and 4 air changes per hour efficiently cleans 1,560 square feet areas with 410 cubic feet per minute (CFM).
Mobile Control + Alexa-Enabled
With the Airmega 400S, you can monitor the unit via your mobile phone or tablet. If you have a Wi-Fi connection, you’ll be able to control your air purifier with the Coway IoCare App.

Compact Design, Powerful Purification
At just under 23 inches tall, it’s smaller than other air purifiers on the market. A sleek black and white design makes it not only pleasing to the eye, but ensures it blends into your home. On the unit’s outer skin, the air hole pattern gets smaller as it moves up towards the top. The pattern reflects that air is pulled from the sides and cleaned as it moves upward.
Handles located on both sides of the product allow for easy lifting and moving from room to room. An air quality indicator light located on the front cover shows real-time indoor air quality. As air quality levels change, the light will change colors accordingly.
Two-stage filtration ensures that allergy triggers like pet odor, smoke, harmful gases, and other allergens are removed from indoor air. Filters are located on each side of the air purifier.
- Pre-Filter: Whether pet hair, dust, or dirt, large particles will be captured by the pre-filter.
- Max2 Filter: On each side of the air purifier are 2 combination filters. The Max2 filter is composed of a carbon filter to help eliminate 99.9 percent of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and a Green True HEPA filter to capture 99.97 percent of harmful allergen particles down to 0.01 microns in size.
- Remaining Filter Life Indicator: On top of the air purifier are 2 filter life indicators, the Pre-Wash and the Max2 Change buttons. Remaining filter life is displayed at 5 levels on the buttons (100, 80, 60, 40, and 20 percent). When the letters on the buttons are lit, the filters are at 0 percent and need to be replaced.
Smart Operation
Say goodbye to manually adjusting your air purifier based on guessing. When set to Automatic Mode, this smart air cleaner provides the epitome of user-friendly operability.
- Fan Speed Adjustment: Constantly monitoring your air quality, the unit will automatically adjust the fan speed to 1 of 3 speeds based on its readings.
- Sleep Mode: When the room is dark and the air has remained on the Good level for 3 minutes or more, the purifier’s light sensor will reduce the purifier’s power and noise.
- Eco Mode: To conserve energy, the smart purifier’s fan will turn off when air pollution levels have remained Good for 10 or more minutes. If the quality worsens, the fan will automatically turn back on.
Ultra Quiet Construction
Common sources of air purifier noise are high fan speeds and noise produced by air exiting the unit. Airmega by Coway has reduced fan speed to make the Airmega 400s Air Purifier no louder than a quiet conversation on its highest speed. To prevent a low fan speed from reducing cleaning effectiveness, fans are located on both sides of the product. Larger air vents further reduce noise levels by limiting the noise caused by air leaving the air purifier.
