Description
Install the Aprilaire 720 Evaporative Humidifier with HydroCore in your furnace or HVAC system to eliminate dry air in your home once and for all. Its innovative design delivers up to 21 gallons daily with 60 percent less wasted water, saving you money. The distribution tray maintains an even water flow with plus or minus three degrees of level tolerance in case of an imperfect installation. It is ideal for systems with low or variable-speed air handlers and works best with soft water or with an additional inline scale-reducing filter.
- Home Coverage: This Aprilaire whole-house humidifier covers up to 6,250 square feet of a tightly constructed home.
- Reversible Design: This humidifier's reversible design makes it easy to install. The fan can be installed on either the right or left side to accommodate challenging placements, including vertical locations.
- HydroCore Cartridge: Annual maintenance is simplified thanks to the cartridge's one-piece design, which includes the water pane, feed tube, and distribution tray in one neat package. The frame is recyclable and constructed with recycled materials.
- Hybrid Fan: Select the low setting for reduced noise or the high setting for maximized output. The hybrid fan delivers an even airflow for reliable comfort.
Control Options
This Aprilaire humidifier includes one of two controller options:
- Manual: The model 4655 manual humidistat features a dial to set the desired humidity level and a helpful chart for the ideal RH levels compared to the outside temperature.
- Auto Digital: The model 60 automatic humidistat has a backlit LCD that displays the relative humidity (RH) and setting when adjusted. Indicator lights also alert you to current status settings. The automatic mode adjusts the RH setting based on outdoor temperature to prevent excess condensation.

Using the 720m to control humidity in the entire house. Controlling it with a ecobee4. Very pleased with the humidifier and am able to view data off the Ecobee app to see running time and humidity levels for each day.

I bought this to replace a free standing humidifier that I was pouring 8 gallons a day into, and it still couldn't get my home above 35% in the winter. I needed about 50 to 55% because of my musical instruments. This seemed like a better method. Installation into the ductwork and water supply was not complicated but the wiring instructions were NOT helpful and could be more clear. I'm guess they're assuming it will be installed by an AC expert, which many of us are not. Tech support was fairly helpful, but again, a few simple sentences on the instruction would have been helpful. The one real problem I have is that they do NOT make clear that this system will not go above about 45% humidity. I assumed that being rated at 21 gpd capacity it would. It doesn't. So, yes it works, and it's definitely better than having to fill daily. Yes, it's much quieter, I can't hear it from the attic. But no, it will not produce as much as expected.

We really like our Aprilaire 720A humidifier. Shipping by Sylvane was fast and without hassle. We received everything exactly as described. The installation instructions were pretty clear (only needed to call customer service for two small clarifications). It works as advertised. Quality unit.
