iLIVING Pedestal Washdown Fan - 30-inch is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Description
Description
Steam and caustic cleaners wear down ordinary fans fast. The iLIVING Pedestal Washdown Fan answers with a totally enclosed motor and junction box, built from 304 stainless steel, so you can wash it with hot water along with the rest of your food zone. It comes in 24-inch and 30-inch sizes.
The fan head sits on a steel pedestal instead of a wall bracket, so you can move it from a prep line to a dish station as your workflow changes during the day. The fan suits food and beverage plants and hospitals. It is not intended for flammable or explosive settings, or for atmospheres laden with chemicals.
Key Features and Benefits of the iLIVING Pedestal Washdown Fan
- IP55 Rating: The IP55-rated, totally enclosed motor resists moisture and corrosion, so hot-water and caustic washdowns do not affect performance.
- Stainless Construction: Built from 304 stainless steel, this washdown fan holds up to repeated cleaning in wet, humid food zones.
- Dual-Voltage Motor: The motor can be wired for 115 volts or 230 volts, so you can match the circuit your facility already has.
- Steady Airflow: Blades turn at 1,050 RPM on a single speed with manual control, giving your crew steady cooling with no settings to manage.
- Low Amp Draw: A maximum draw of 2.85 amps puts only a light load on the grounded, GFCI-protected branch circuit the fan requires.
- Tilting Head: The adjustable fan head tilts up or down, so you can aim airflow at a prep table or across a work aisle.
- OSHA-Compliant Guards: Grille guards are sized to OSHA regulations, which helps keep hands away from the blades while the fan runs.
- UL and cUL: UL and cUL certification shows the fan meets recognized electrical safety standards for commercial use in the US and Canada.
Choose Your Fan Size
The pedestal fan comes in 24-inch and 30-inch sizes, and the larger blade moves more air for a slightly higher power draw.
- 24-Inch Model: A 1/4-horsepower motor moves up to 7,200 CFM at 310 watts, enough to cool a single prep line; the fan measures 26.4 x 26.8 x 78.8-Inches (L x W x H) and weighs 55.7 pounds, so it is easier to reposition.
- 30-Inch Model: A 1/3-horsepower motor pushes up to 9,800 CFM at 335 watts to reach across wider aisles, and the fan measures 26.4 x 32.9 x 78.8-Inches (L x W x H) and weighs 60.8 pounds.
Note: Both sizes need a power cord that matches your voltage and outlet, with a NEMA 5-series plug for 115 volts or a NEMA 6-series plug for 230 volts.
Sylvane's Expert Take
If you manage a food zone that gets hosed down every shift, this fan was made for your space. Pick the 24-inch size if you move it between stations often. Choose the 30-inch model for open floors where one fan has to reach several workers.
Plan the install before the fan arrives, because it must be grounded on a GFCI-protected circuit with a cord you choose. The enclosed IP55 motor is the feature that matters most here. With either size, you clean the fan along with everything else in the room instead of working around it.
