Description

Rattling compressors and drafty heat cause many of the comfort complaints in hotels and dorms. The Friedrich 7,200 BTU ZoneAire Select PTAC w/ Heat Pump deals with both. Dual fan motors and a vibration-isolated rotary compressor keep sound down, while the heat pump covers most of your heating needs for less energy.

Heating runs in stages. The heat pump moves warmth in from outdoors instead of generating it. When temperatures fall below 40 degrees F, the built-in electric heater takes over. Instant Heat Mode uses that heater to bring a cold room up to temperature quickly, then hands off to the heat pump to hold it there.
