Description
The AprilAire Programmable Multi-Stage Universal Thermostat with IAQ Control makes it easy to control and monitor the temperature of your home. With quick installation, you’re only minutes away from accessing best-in-class schedule programming, humidity control, and more. This programmable thermostat is compatible with IAQ, 2H/2C heat/cool stages, or 4H/2C heat pump stages. The simple, menu-style navigation is user-friendly and makes for a quick installation.
Choose between two available models: the S86WMUPR with Wi-Fi or the S86NMUPR standard without.
Event-Based Air Cleaning
Pairing this AprilAire universal thermostat with an Aprilaire whole-house air purifier allows you to monitor and clean your home’s air at any time. Choose the “3 Hours” event for a continuous, 3-hour long run time before it returns to the most recent operating mode. Selecting the “24 Hours” event is especially helpful for seasonal allergies, as the system will run continuously for 24 hours to thoroughly clean your indoor air.
The AprilAire S86WMUPR model with Wi-Fi allows access through the AprilAire Healthy Air App, so you can adjust any settings from anywhere. This model is also compatible with AprilAire wireless sensors (sold separately) for enhanced air quality control.
Ensuring Your Comfort
This AprilAire programmable thermostat has three operating modes: heat, cool, and auto. There is also an emergency heat function for heat pumps with auxiliary heat. When installed to work with a whole house air cleaner, it can be programmed using the air cleaning function on the menu.
The helpful Heat Blast feature raises the room temperatures by 3° to 5° Fahrenheit, along with the progressive recovery technology to reach the desired temperature just before the programmed time comes around. This resourceful design maintains your family’s comfort level with your preferred schedule settings.

- Color Display: You can view the room temperature as well as the temperature setting, device mode, and event status on this 2.4-inch display.
- IAQ Control: Humidity and ventilation control all from one source.
- Scale Options: Select either Fahrenheit or Celsius temperature scale.
- Humidity Control: Senses and displays indoor humidity levels.
- Wired Outdoor Sensor: Included with this thermostat is a sensor for displaying the temperature and relative humidity (RH) levels outside.
- Voice Assistance: Connect the S86WMUPR thermostat with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant to access voice control.
