Info & Guides

Description

A living room that turns stuffy by mid-afternoon needs real cooling, not a fan pushing warm air around. The TCL 10,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner w/Digital Controls (model H10W35W) fits standard single or double-hung windows. It gives you 6 operating modes, so you can match cooling to the weather or to how much energy you want to use.

You can control it from more than the front panel. Connect it to Wi-Fi and use the free smartphone app to change settings while you're away from home, or use voice commands through Amazon Alexa, Google Home, or Apple Home. When you're in the room, the included remote control and the bright LED display on the electronic controls make quick changes easy.

Key Features and Benefits of the TCL 10,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner w/Digital Controls

  • Cooling Capacity: A 10,000-BTU rating cools large bedrooms and living areas up to 450 square feet, so the room comes down to temperature quickly.
  • 6 Operating Modes: Switch between Cool, Auto, Eco, Dry, Fan, and Sleep modes to match conditions, from muggy afternoons to quiet nights.
  • Energy Star Rated: An Energy Star rating and a 10.9 EER give you more cooling per watt, with estimated yearly operating costs of around 89 dollars.
  • Eco Mode: Eco mode controls how the compressor runs, so you use less energy and save money on days when you don't need maximum cooling.
  • R-32 Refrigerant: This air conditioner uses R-32, an earth-friendly choice that helps keep your cooling easier on the environment.
  • Operating Range: It cools effectively in ambient temperatures from 61 to 88 degrees F, so you can count on it through the warm months.
  • Fan Speeds: Choose from 3 fan speeds for strong airflow on hot afternoons or gentler circulation in the evening.
  • Sleep Mode: Sleep mode adjusts the temperature automatically and switches to low fan speed, keeping your bedroom comfortable and quiet overnight.
  • 24-Hour Timer: Set the timer to turn the air conditioner on or off, so your room is already cool when you walk in.
  • Auto Restart: After a power outage, the H10W35W restarts automatically with your saved settings, so you don't have to set it up again.

Check Your Window and Outlet Before Installing

The H10W35W mounts in single or double-hung windows from 26 to 36 inches wide, so measure your opening before you start. It measures 19.76 x 21.5 x 15.16-Inches (L x W x H) and weighs 49.6 pounds, so plan on a second person to help lift it into place. The included installation kit and illustrated owner's manual walk you through mounting it correctly.

This air conditioner runs on 110 to 120 volts through a standard 5-15P plug, which fits ordinary household outlets. It is rated for a 125-volt, 15-amp circuit, so avoid sharing that circuit with other high-draw appliances. The power cord is 6 feet long, so pick a window with an outlet close by.

Sylvane's Expert Take

If you're cooling a large bedroom or open living area and want to change settings without getting up, this TCL air conditioner suits you well. It does its best work in rooms you use every day, where scheduling it through the app saves the most energy. Keep in mind that it has no heat mode, so it is a cooling-only appliance for the warm season. Rely on Eco mode during the day and Sleep mode at night, and you'll keep the room comfortable while your energy bills stay low.
