Description
Description
Long winters at a cabin call for a heat source that runs without electricity. The Ashley Hearth 1,200 Sq. Ft. Pedestal Wood Stove (model AW1120E-P) turns split firewood into warmth for your whole living space. Its transitional pedestal design fits a rustic cabin or a modern great room equally well.
You'll spend most of your time looking at the front of the stove. A heavy-duty cast iron door with a spring handle frames airwashed ceramic glass, so you can watch the flames while the fire heats the room. Below the firebox, an integrated ash pan with a solid brushed nickel handle makes cleanup quicker, and the charcoal black finish keeps the look understated.
Key Features and Benefits of the Ashley Hearth 1,200 Sq. Ft. Pedestal Wood Stove
- 68,000-BTU Output: Rated at 68,000 BTUs for spaces up to 1,200 square feet, so you can warm a cabin or large open room from one stove.
- EPA Step 2: Meets the EPA's stringent Step 2 requirements for 2020 certification, so you get a wood stove built to current emissions standards.
- UL Listed: The UL listing shows this wood stove has met recognized safety and efficiency standards, which gives you added confidence at home.
- Dual-Zone Combustion: A system of 2 air inlets and 3 ignition tubes lights the wood at the top and bottom, raising burn efficiency for each load you add.
- Wide Firebox: An 18.29-inch-wide firebox accepts logs up to 18 inches long, so you spend less time cutting firewood down to size.
- 6-Inch Flue Collar: The flue collar tells you the stovepipe diameter to plan for before installation day.
- 280-Pound Build: Airtight plate steel construction brings the stove to 280 pounds, so line up a helper for moving and assembly.
Replacing a TR001-Series Stove? Check the Footprint First
If your current stove is an Ashley Hearth TR001, TR001B, or TR001WS, the AW1120E-P is a common replacement for all 3 models. Its overall size of 29.8 x 21.5 x 22.5-Inches (H x D x W) gives you a compact footprint to plan around. Measure your hearth area and the clearances in the owner's manual before you commit to a location.
The stove arrives needing assembly, and the manual walks you through the installation details for your space. Because the 280-pound stove is hard to move once it's in place, settle on the final position before you connect the stovepipe.
Sylvane's Expert Take
If you heat a cabin or an open-plan home with wood, this stove is sized for you. It is rated for spaces up to 1,200 square feet. Controls and ignition are fully manual, so it suits you if you're comfortable tending your own fire.
The top-and-bottom combustion design and Step 2 certification matter most here, since together they give you a cleaner, more complete burn. For whole-cabin warmth with a fire you can actually watch, this stove earns its place on your hearth.
