Humidify your whole home or other spaces, up to 3,200 square feet, with ease when you install the Desert Spring Rotary Disc Furnace Humidifier. Capable of outputting up to 14 gallons of soothing moisture every day, this rotary disc humidifier installs directly onto the ductwork of most forced air furnaces and heat pumps.
Designed to be a low-maintenance comfort solution, the Desert Spring Furnace Humidifier is efficient too, putting 100% of the water that enters the humidifier into your home's air.
Note: There are two options for installation with this humidifier. Select the Hardwired option to attach directly to a furnace or electrical junction box. Or select the Plug option to use the humidifier with a regular household outlet.
Set-It-And-Forget-It Humidification
Take back control of your home's comfort with the Desert Spring Rotary Disc Humidifier. It uses a unique rotary disc design to provide proper humidification to your space.
- Attaches to Ductwork: This humidifier works with any forced air furnace system, including gas, oil burning, and electric furnaces, plus heat pumps.
- Rotating Discs: Water enters into the unit's water reservoir, where flat plastic discs rotate. The discs pick up a thin layer of water that evaporates in your furnace's airflow, dispersing moisture to every corner of your home.
- Energy Efficient: Because the Desert Spring furnace humidifier uses 100% of the water that enters the unit, not only is it efficient, but you don't need a drain (unless you choose either AutoFlush model) to install it.
Multiple Set-Ups Available
Every building's needs are different, that's why this furnace is available in three different configurations. Be sure to select the package that works best for you.
- Desert Spring DS3200 Humidifier Only: This package includes the furnace humidifier, as well as a humidistat and all required fittings for installation. It is also available with or without a plug-in transformer.
- Humidifier and AutoFlush System: Particularly helpful in areas with hard water, the AutoFlush system removes minerals from the humidifier by flushing the reservoir at user-set intervals from once per hour to once per week. It is also available with or without a plug-in transformer.
- Humidifier, AutoFlush System, and Anti-Scale Filter: For even more protection from hard water, this package combines the AutoFlush System with an anti-scale filter that eliminates more than 95% of scale-forming minerals like calcium. It is also available with or without a plug-in transformer.

Just wash the disks and it is like new. Very low maintenance cost
Just 2 things were missing in the installation kit.
1. Expansion tube used to connect to the furnace was a bit short 36in instead of 30 in would have been great
I bought an adjustable 6 in metal bend to attach to the furnace and to make it easier to attach the short extension air tube
2, Transformer and wiring is mostly not needed as the furnace own 28 VAC must be used to power the humidifier 4W motor. I used the furnace HUM tab and the ground from the furnace control board. That way the humidifier only runs if the furnace is heating the home as that is the only way it can provide enough efficieincy to raise the humidity.
The low voltage thermostat type wire (2 wires) was missing in the installation kit but it was easy to buy it at the local ace store.
A few self tapping screws would have been great, but the ones they provided are fine if you pre-drill the metal first.

I had an absorption type made by AA and it did not work! I installed the DS-3200P and within an hour it met the set point of the humidistat! FIVE STARS!!!

Delivery took longer than expected.
I had the same product for about 15 years, but the last unit the tabs for the motor and the idle broke and I used screws to reassemble after cleaning. I was also having trouble with the level tightly closing and water getting into the air supply. I bought the new unit with the overflow, filter and automatic blowdown. I still need to decide what to do with the discharged water. I thought the automatic blowdown was pumped and ran off of the 24vac supply. I bought the plug in transformer for that purpose.
Since I was replacing an existing DS3200 , and that unit was controlled from the heating system itself, I don’t need the humidistat or the (2) power transformers that came with the unit
I know the unit will perform well
