This is the second Friedrich 18,000 BTU wall unit I purchase. My first one lasted approximately 20 years. The differences between this model and the prior one are attractive. It is substantially quieter. It can be programmed remotely via an internet app, which is very convenient. It consumes less energy and it runs substantially quieter than the older unit. Also, I was able to purchase a replacement warranty very economically, which was not possible in the past.

Really happy with our new air conditioner! Runs fairly quiet & keeps the house a consistent temperature. The directions could be better. Should be noted at the beginning of the booklet to get the serial number off the unit before installing. Also, have not been able to hook up the wifi yet. #sweepstakes
