Available in plug or hardwire configurations, rely on this American-made dehumidifier to avoid high humidity in any location.

Optional Wi-Fi Enabled Model
The optional model E080W offers an AprilAire dehumidifier model with Wi-Fi-enabled technology that makes setup, pairing, and monitoring through AprilAire's Healthy Air App as easy as possible. The AprilAire Model E080W includes a Wi-Fi-enabled digital controller with an onboard color display, which can be used to set and change the dehumidifier's settings.
Hardwire or Plug Design
Both models (E080 and E080H) offer the same features and whole-house dehumidifying capacity. The AprilAire E080 includes an 8-foot power cord for plug-and-play operation, while the E080H is hardwired.
Ducting Options
The AprilAire 80-Pint Dehumidifier is installed as part of your central HVAC system. As your system runs, the dehumidifier pulls air in using the return ducts, dehumidifies it, and sends dry air back into your rooms. The system can also run independently as a standalone dehumidifier, dehumidifying air in a single space.
Common installation locations include an equipment room, closet, basement, or attic. Hanging installation is also possible. Two 10-inch duct collars are included for ducting air return and supply, and the supply duct can be installed in one of two locations on the unit for more flexibility in your space.
Additional Features
- On-Board Humidity Control: Use the buttons to adjust the setting from 40 to 80 percent RH. Typically, customers initially set it to 55 percent and then adjust it based on their feelings.
- Automatic Sensing: Your dehumidifier will automatically sense the air and compare it to your humidity setting, then adjust its operation as needed.
- Air Filter: Remove dust and other impurities before air travels through the dehumidifier and back into your space.
- Auto Defrost Control: In calm conditions, an automatic defroster turns off the compressor and runs the blower until the coils are defrosted to protect the unit from damage.
- Adjustable Outlet Options: The duct collar is adjustable for top or side discharge applications.

This is a great dehumidifier. Purchased to use stand-alone in the basement to replace a consumer-grade room humidifier (the kind that looks pretty, stops working after 1-36 months, and has no serviceable parts so just has to be thrown away). Bought this because it's solidly built, has a 5-year warranty and can be repaired if necessary instead of thrown away. Have had it for a month, so far it is working great to keep the basement dry. Compressor is a little noisy so wouldn't want it in a room where we were hanging out. Thanks to Sylvane for prompting this review with an invitation to participate in a #sweepstakes

I bought this Amaerican made product after purchasing 2 different box store dehumidifiers in this size range. The first lasted 18 months and cost $550 and the second cost $650 and was DOA. Despite different supposed manufacturers they were identical in appearance and contained the same parts. Clearly most companies are contracting with th same plant in PR of China! I could not be happier with the performance of the Aprilaire product. Runs less often, is quieter, and uses less power. I'm pretty sure it will last much longer than those other one I wasted time and mony on too (has 5 year warrenty). #sweepstakes
