Description
The Broan Overture Smart Air Quality Wall Control features built-in sensors which are connected to ventilation fans in various rooms in the same way you connect a standard wall switch.
When indoor air quality deteriorates in a kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, or other area, the Wall Control automatically turns on the connected fan or range hood until good air quality is restored.

Versatile Functionality
Not only will the Broan Overture Wall Control automatically operate the appropriate ventilation device to restore indoor air quality, but you can use it like a standard wall control. Turn your ventilation fan on or off at will.
For combined fan and light devices, these can still be operated together or individually, based on how the device’s wiring is configured.
Keep Kitchens Ventilated
For kitchens with gas stove tops, the Broan Smart Wall Control can significantly improve air quality since natural gas doesn’t burn 100% cleanly. You don’t have to remember to turn on the range hood since the Wall Control senses a rise in VOC’s and turns it on automatically.
Note: Only ADA compliant range hoods will work with Overture due to the wiring and manual control requirements. Electronically controlled range hoods cannot be used.
Easy Installation
The Broan Overture wall control requires a 102VAC source in the switch box, but installs just like a standard wall switch. Because this control has sensors, the main consideration is location for best detection.
- Bathroom Applications: Place the control at a level to detect humidity and not directly above a heater or draft. Place near the shower, tub, or sink for best moisture detection.
- Kitchen Applications: Place near cooktops or ovens for best odor, VOC, and smoke detection. (Note: This is NOT an official smoke detector and should not be used in place of one.)
Ensure that the Wall Control is positioned with about 100 feet of your Wi-Fi router or access point for effective connectivity. Avoid physical obstructions and radio interference in the surrounding area.
App Use and Voice Control
The Broan Overture Smart Wall Control installation guide includes a QR code which can be scanned to download the App. Or you can go to the App store or Google play to download. View a live report of your home’s indoor air quality as a whole-home view or as room-by-room snapshots.
- Individual gauges for overall IAQ, humidity, PM2.5, TVOC’s, and carbon dioxide levels provide live data
- View a quick explanation of each component being measured
- Control individual device features on the room sensor’s smart outlet
- Add new users, rooms, and devices
- Access historical data for the past hour, day, week, month, or year and view whole home, or individual room information for each component in graphic format
Additional Features
- ASHRAE 62.2: This standard is followed by builders to ensure proper ventilation and has been adopted by many states as part of the residential building code. Overture allows ventilation products to run per these standards.
- Compatibility: Works with select Broan bath fans, Fresh Air Systems, and ADA-compliant range hoods.
- Independent Control: Combination fans and lights can be controlled separately for your convenience.
- Air Exchange: A Broan Fresh Air System is required for air exchanges.
- Safety Compliant: RoHS and Prop. 65 compliant, meets FCC and IC requirements, UL-Listed.
