This accessory is used for ducting the 2 outlet vents of the dehumidifier for use in an out-of-sight space or in multiple areas.
If you wish to only duct one outlet vent, you should leave the additional vent uncovered (it should not be blocked/blanked). No additional CFM will be gained by blocking the other vent, and the unit was not designed to operate with only one vent flowing.
