Description
Gavita Master Controllers place full lighting control at your fingertips. These Gen 2 controllers are designed to control large rooms with the Gavita e-series fixtures. Select EL1 for a single channel or EL2 for dual channels.
These new generation controllers feature event logging, independent sunrise and sunset settings, and independent light cycles.
Full-Function Control for LEDs
With the Gavita Master EL Controllers, you can control light cycles and output for all lighting fixtures from a single point. Setup is simple and designed to be entry-level, with a 5-language text interface on a high-quality OLED display.
Independent Light Cycles
When you choose the EL2 model, you can program two different cycles and overlapping cycles for more complex light control. For example, set up 12/12 on channel 1, and 18/6 on channel 2.

- Plug-and-play installation, including all necessary cables
- Crop protection with auto shut-down should cooling or ventilation fail
- Nonvolatile memory safely stores user settings
- Crop safety – Autodim function automatically dims the lights in extreme conditions
Independent Programmable ECM’s
External contactor modules are used to switch on or off auxiliary equipment during the lights-on or lights-off period. You can choose whether they turn on or off, and which channel they should follow for more flexible integration and automation.
Data Logging
This functionality provides insight into the current and historic status of lights and alarms. The Master EL Controller’s logging functions include high/low temperature, last autodim event, last shutdown event, and last power loss.
Additional Features
- Multiple Fixtures: The standard EL1 set-up allows each output channel to control 40 fixtures (Single Bus e-series) up to 500 fixtures (Repeater Bus e-series).
- EL2 Flexibility: On top of double output ports, connect ECM units to control auxiliary equipment.
- Safe: The control signal is a safe, analog, and low-voltage signal, protected from signal shortcuts in the wiring so that a wiring fault won’t kill your control.
- Rugged Housing: The anodized aluminum extrusion housing is both rugged and compact.
Note: Be aware that the Gen 2 Master controller comes with a 15-volt power cord, which differs from the 5-volt power cord that is being used with Gen 1 Master controllers
