A dry climate can affect your health, but this whole-house humidifier keeps your indoor air at the best humidity level, no matter the weather. This humidifier has electrode steam technology and covers up to 5,500 square feet.

Note: This humidifier must be installed by a licensed contractor. If you do not plan to attach it to the ductwork, then the RMB35 Remote Blower Kit is required for installation.

This General Aire steam humidifier produces up to 28.5 gallons of moisture daily, effectively and consistently providing humidity to your home. This humidifier includes several key features:

  • Electrode Steam Technology: The inner electrode element heats water to release steam through your home’s ductwork. The self-contained system has a contemporary design for a low-maintenance but effective appliance.
  • Internal Voltage Switch: This house humidifier uses 120 V or 240 V power connections.
  • GFX5 Humidistat: The GFX5 Automatic Digital Humidistat is included with the General Aire 5500; this humidistat controls the furnace blower motor for consistent humidity levels.

  • LED Display: An enhanced LED display is on the front of the humidifier for easy access.
  • Chassis Keyholes: Pre-made keyholes make for easy installation.
  • Safety: The drain water temperature is below 140 degrees F, and water tempering is done for safety.
  • Screw Covers: There is a single screw permanently attached to the cover for easy access, so you’ll never lose a screw again.
  • Minimal Maintenance: This quiet system requires minimal maintenance, including a steam cylinder that should be replaced at the start of the heating season.

    From 27% humidity to 45% in two days in 4000Sf

    The steam humidifier works very well.

    It was fairly easy to install but you need to have some mechanical and electrical abilities.

    There was an issue with the first one that I received but Sylvane made it good almost immediately.

    I would highly recommend any company like Sylvane that stands behind the merchandise they promote and is as responsive as they were.
