I bought the dehumidifier with the pump a month ago for use in my basement. I just ran the tube to the drain and plugged it in. No leaks and no problems. This dehumidifier is a little quieter than the five year old unit that it replaced.

This product runs 24/7 but does not remove the amount of moisture I was expecting. I have an old machine sitting beside the new one and it removes approximately twice as much water. For sure, the new does not remove 70 pints per day. Also, it leaks when the bucket is emptied unless it sits for several minutes in the off position.

I used this machine to make my basement usable in the Summer months. I had another brand and it did not do the job. This one has preformed above and beyond my desires. It is very quiet and the reading light on the front saves many footsteps from going across the basement to read it. I have it drained thru a window above the machine...never have to drain or empty...no water on floor. Very happy with this unit and would recommend it highly. Unit is used during late Spring through early Fall when our basement tends towards very high humidity. This is the second year we are using the product. I have purchased another 50-pint unit last year that is also working very well at another location
