The Kidde Battery Operated Carbon Monoxide Alarm is equipped with electro-chemical sensing technology to detect concentration levels as low as 30 PPM. At 70 PPM an audible alarm sounds and red LED flashes to alert you.

Powered by two (2) AA batteries, which are included, this CO alarm can be installed on any wall or ceiling following UL/NFPA recommended placement guidelines.

Reliable CO Alarm

When carbon monoxide levels of 70 PPM or more are detected, a piezoelectric horn will sound at a measured 85 decibels at 10 feet, plus a red LED light flashes for an alert you can depend on.

  • 70 PPM: 60-240 minutes
  • 150 PPM: 10-50 minutes
  • 400PPM: 4-15 minutes

This detector also includes an alarm test button which electronically simulates the presence of CO and causes the alarm to sound.

Versatile Use

Use the Kidde battery-powered CO detector and alarm as back-up for a plug-in AC powered unit, or in places where a standard outlet is not present, such as closets and basement storage spaces.

The simple slide-out battery door gives immediate access for easy battery replacement, and a safety feature that makes it difficult to close the door without batteries being installed.

  • Low Battery Hush: Silences low battery chirp warning for up to 12 hours in order to maintain protection without having to replace batteries at an inconvenient time.
  • Event Memory: If the unit detects concentrations of carbon monoxide of 100 PPM or greater, the green LED will flash every ten seconds.

  • Low Battery Signal: Alerts you when batteries need replacing.
