This dehumidifier is great. Every LG product I've bought has been worth the extra cost. I had a Frigidaire dehumidifier before this and while maybe slightly quieter and it had great reviews from numerous websites, the Frigidaire stopped functioning correctly and had a bad shudder in less than 2 weeks. That box arrived beat up, but so did the box for the LG I later bought. Some of the other websites complained about how you remove the bin to empty the water, but honestly it's not that hard. It goes in and out while you hold it at an angle. You get used to it, like how you learn to tie your shoes. And pouring the water from that LG bin compared to pouring the water from the Frigidaire bin is so much better. On the LG, It pours smoothly and water does not get caught in various plastic segmented compartments within the bin and pour unexpectedly to where are you don't want it to go like on the floor with the Frigidaire. I feel like the LG registers humidity the levels better than the Frigidaire and automatically decides when to run or not run based on how I've set it, after I turn it on and leave it on. I usually leave it on 50% humidity. Dehumidifiers make noise; there is no getting around that. Sometimes the compressor chugs off. The fan whirls. Just wanna look out for abnormal noises and With the amount of water this LG is pulling from the air, compared to the 50 pint Frigidaire that did not work out, I'm happy.

Vacay at beach front resort. Had one in the room. After emptying the water, it FROZE us out. Had to have it. Set it up in a closed bedroom. Warm dry air too much for room a/c. So put it in the center of a 2100 sq ft Tampa (humid weather) and conditioning the whole house.
